I can do 6 damage in one turn at the start of the game, which is more than almost every other shotgun, so as long as my ammo supply can survive I'll be fine. Getting a huge damage upgrade after floor 1 makes me kind of want to do another run so you can see what a more "normal" build looks like, but nah.
