Two things: 1. Often times grandparents or other extended family will volunteer to care for these kids. Out of love and wanting to keep the family together. 2. CPS and other social services will push *hard* to keep kids out of the foster care system. That makes me feel bad a little bit. Bc Back in 2012 I was living in Alaska w\mt hubby. He had been stationed there & we drove thru Canada up into AK in 2009. By 2012 my BFF & get hubby were moving back to the lower 48 & they wanted to drive to save $$. They had 4 kids & 2 BIG DOGS! They were huge. 1 was an English Mastiff for clarity. I told my friend it was a BAD idea! I LOVED the drive & we had a blast! But we are more go w\the flow. We didn't plan any part of it & just made a kinda plan we'd drive until evening then stop wherever we were. Too much been happen to mess up the plans &it can be upsetting even for go w\the flow ppl. My friend is NOT 1 of those ppl. I love her to death STILL! But she's a PLANNER! I'm talking down to the tiniest detail & even had a printed agenda. Booked hotels for the whole trip based on where they wanted to be reach day. Loaded up a u haul trailer & had 2 vehicles. Her & the kids in 1 & hubby & the dogs in the other. But she was worried about bears in Canada & had got bear spray. I told her it was unnecessary. She got it anyways. Well on the way the dogs bit into a pan & exploded it all in the car. & the hubby got your experience. My friend called me TRAUMATIZED & crying all their bookings were messed up bc they were delayed & she was a hot mess & hysterically yelling at me that I SAID IT WAS WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL DRIVE & EXPERIENCE & it's NOT it's the WORST experience of her life! I felt bad but I laughed. I said GIRL! I TOLD U DON'T DO IT!! & I offered u advice the whole way telling u not to book that far in advance! I begged u to get on the plane & be done w\it. In fairness to her I think she probably thought It was just more poor planning on my part & she wouldn't have that problem. I still laugh which is probably unkind of me. At least now she can laugh w\me. But I did feel really bad for the puppies!

@drek9k22 місяці тому
@@LexKaiNixYou know I really question sometimes whether it's my own experience and whether it just is that female narcissists are what most comprise the toxic tiktok girl, because all the good women keep their mouth shut and don't spam twitter and facebook and IG looking for attention and to farm narcissistic supply, and they generally don't say anything too controversial so nobody gives a shit and they don't get that negative attention. Sorry it's just making me realize some things I've thought in the past about why women in general act the way they do, but I didn't think I attracted women with narcissistic traits did I? Oh for context I was saying in another video, when men communicate it's to coordinate in at times life or death situations, and to coordinate in a vital hunt, or war and tribal defense, or engineering, or hell organized crime or flying an airline, it requires the most clinically accurate sharing of details possible; but from the minute the average woman starts to speak, she begins putting on verbal makeup, because unlike the men her goals are to: increase her social standing among women and secure her place in the social group; flatter her image as much as possible and make herself look as good, noble, and desirable as possible to mates; and finally, to smear, slander, isolate, target, and tear down all her threats and rivals or otherwise disliked persons. And so as a result you will notice that categorically, the very nature of the objectives and goals of what female communication pursues is fundamentally different than the males and doesn't require the sharing of accurate information at all, in fact *her* goals are such that it rewards being hyperbolic and telling and concealing half truths. And so while I still do believe that that is the case, I do realize that due to some specific things about my own background and lived experience, this may not necessarily be the case as hard or universally as I think that it is, though finding a truly good, honest, pure, and noble woman in America isn't as easy. But I do realize now, that I may be having my own views coloured so sharply by female narcissists and sociopaths, that it's painting over reality in the same way some pretty women seem to think most men are narcissists (because you date and are asked out by mainly narcissists, or because you are most vividly remembering the one narcissist that hurt you, OR because you are yourself a narcissist and you're projecting; protip if somebody tells you everyone they ever dated is a narcissist, they're the one that narcissistic)

I am Chris Bjorge's wife. I was with him when he gave the interview for this documentary, and I audio recorded it. Before he agreed to do the interview, he researched "Explore With Us" and agonized over agreeing to talk to them. He had never given an interview about this before. Every time he relives the horror, he is forced right back to when it happened, which affects him for weeks. He finally made the decision to give the interview to Lizbeth Meredith, for EWU, based on her reputation for being truthful. I am so sorry he made that decision. His memories were chopped and re-spliced in such a way that the meaning was altered and strangers who never heard what he actually had to say feel free to condemn and criticize him. I cannot in good conscience sit by and leave the judgmental and uninformed comments unchallenged. Throughout the interview, Chris shared an account of the horrors of the night he was notified that his parents had been murdered. Chris explained that the whole thing seemed like a bad nightmare, and all these years later it still does. He said he had so many wonderful memories of his parents, and the brutality that they had to go through their last few minutes of their lives is absolutely horrific. Chris told of how his mom, Wendy, was fun to be around. She was a wise cracker and wove her personality into the childhood stories she often told about him. Stories that got better with each subsequent telling. He also spoke of Randall, his dad. Though Randall was a football jock, he never pushed Chris to follow in his footsteps. He encouraged Chris to find his own path. Chris chose to be a triathlete, and both of his parents supported him 100%. In fact, they backed Chris in all his endeavors and made sure that one or both of them were at any event he participated in. The family moved from WA to GA when Chris was in the 4th grade. It was a tough transition and Chris asked his dad to lead the local Cub Scout Troop in an effort to make new friends. Randall agreed to do it, if Chris helped him lead. Their joint efforts led to a lot of good times, great memories, as well as an even closer father/son relationship all the way through high school. The reality is that Chris had a wonderful relationship with his parents as a child. He was not abused, and his relationship with his parents became distant in a large part due to issues with his sister, Cassandra's mother. In my opinion, his sister's decisions were very poor. His parents had a desire to help her, which Chris respected. Chris's parents didn't share with him how bad things were with Cassandra. Once we became aware of how bad things had gotten, Chris and our family immediately stepped up to try and help however we could. That somehow leads to some of you thinking there is a hidden or unspoken tone of abuse that occurred or there are secrets in Chris's relationship with his parents? Uh, no! That is what good Christian folks do. We help when it's needed, regardless of how long it's been since we saw someone. We had a number of video calls with Cassandra, and she seemed on board, and was looking forward to the opportunity to come down to FL and get away for a while. What changed with that, we will never know. All of the above information that I have chosen to share with you was shared in the interview that my husband (Chris) gave. If you want to pass judgements here, don't do it to Chris or his parents. Chris was open and honest throughout the entire interview. He painted a picture of his childhood, and the relationship he had with his parents, and how thankful he was for his parents, and the upbringing they provided. He told of how his parents were fun, funny and supportive parents, and how insanely crushing it was to hear of what they were going through both before their murders, and what happened to them in their final moments. The entire ordeal was devastating for Chris, and our entire family. THE PRODUCERS CHOSE TO CUT ALL OF IT! So, if you're going to pass judgements, you should really re-evaluate where those judgements are directed, especially now that the whole truth has been shared with you, as it was presented by my husband. Have a blessed day, and thank you for reading.

I think it knew I was trying super hard to help it because it didn't resist me handling it. While I was sitting on a bench frantically calling people for help, the poor thing had a seizure and lost control of its bowels and bladder. I kept trying. Finally I came across a friend of mine who checked his pulse and his breathing. It was too late--the kitten had no pulse and no breath. it was clearly gone. He was nice enough to help me find a place to bury him while I tried to pull myself together. I never forgot that experience--it was horrifying. I felt so guilty as well because even though I tried to get help, I just couldn't get it in time. I, like you, don't understand how anyone an be so casual about death.

@@SanityTV_Last_Sane_Man_Alive "discipline" is not the solution when you're living with mini psychopaths, and clear signs of it. the grandparents clearly tried to discipline her, but they're older people and she had the gall to fight them back. she has an extremely antisocial personality. the solution is committing the children to some sort of psychiatric facility or some sort of study, and getting community help/awareness (destigmatization of this will make it so people are willing to help each other to prevent unnecessary violence, strife, and death).

When the grandparents son said , there were pictures of Cassie all over the house, and that they really loved her, and that grandma's last face book post was pleading for everyone to look out for Cassie, MY HEART BROKE !!!! I'm a 61 y/o man, and I almost cried. God bless there son, and may they rest in the presence of the Lord.

I KNEW it was getting worse and worse by the comments so I knew I couldn't handle the entire video. I appreciate your comment very much because THIS is exactly how I was already feeling and didn't think I could finish it and I'm not going to. I've already heard enough just letting it play as I was reading and my anxiety grew more and more. I just can't ever EVER imagine what those poor people went through. You know they loved her dearly and their hearts were broken. They knew exactly who was hurting them and that breaks my heart for them. I just can't even fathom the evil it takes to harm anyone like they did but close family members, that have given you EVERYTHING they could and probably MORE than they could just become they were raising her and felt sorry for her. I pray one day she truly grieves for what they've done and it really REALLY gets to her. God forgive me, I just can't imagine!!! 😢

The fact that she admits to murdering and torturing her grandparents, stealing their car, money, credit cards, trying to kill her sister, but then she draws the line at "we did NOT have people over at my grandparent's house without permission!" The hatred of her grandma must've just been so deep that she figured people would understand the murder and torture, but partying afterwards was too far for her to morally admit? Crazy story and great video EWU 🙏

@celarc99Місяць тому
@@rorylindsey6656 She is a psychopath. She thinks people will empathize with her regarding her grandparents, however she knows that people wouldn't empathize with her if they knew she was partying, having sex, doing drugs, etc in the house afterwards. It was calculated to try and illicit a specific emotional response out of people. She's clearly a sociopath.
@BehraamK4Місяць тому
It’s because UP AND UNTIL that point, she was probably thinking I could pin this on Johnny, and slime ball my way out of this or maybe a reduced sentence by pinning it all on Jonny, but the minute the investigators find out the post/murder partying/being intimate in the house it will ruin her and her case of being the “innocent one” out of her and Jonny. She knew she lost all her cards at that point, whether the tears were for the fact she would be in equal trouble as Johnny or the fact she could do such a thing after the gruesome act (who knows)
@NurseKayPМісяць тому
She was so void of emotion when discussing her grandparents and then showed emotion over that revelation. It was very bizarre. Somehow she had convinced herself she was victim and her grandparents deserved it. The murder was her only way to freedom. The only thing I can come up with in regard to the bizarre show of emotion is that she cares what her “friends” think about being in the home after the murder. Teens typically care more about how they are viewed by their peers in that stage of their lives. Psychologically there are probably many more complex explanations as to what’s going on in this whole scenario. On a simplistic level her immaturity and life stage may have played a part in her reaction. Perhaps a bit of ego, some narcissistic traits thrown in. Clearly, she has to be a psychopath, but she seemed to genuinely care about her relationship with sunshine. It was shocking.

The lack of accountability is INSANE. When Cassie says "I got a charge from them" she means "When I assaulted and attacked my grandfather, breaking his rib, I was arrested and charged with simple battery."
