Because two feet is probably more than anyone will ever need. It cannot be fully submerged because it has cooling vents on top. But it is 100% weatherproof and can survive heavy rain. They made the bottom part submersible to account for floods. If your Powerwall is fully submerged in water in 1 meter of flood, you have bigger problems than a flooded Powerwall.

My three Powewall 2s have been outside for 2 years now, and through a lot of rain, without issue. They have even been partially buried in snow, so I wouldn't think surviving water immersion to be a new trick. There are a lot of people who put their powerwalls in their basement. So water is a real concern for them. I wish this commercial would show those more realistic scenarios.

LFPs are known for their long term use (ironically :) but I see your point. 1) One of the cons of utilizing your car as a home battery is it uses up the car's battery life cycles but I definitely would love to see that as an option regardless. 2) "like eco flow and Enphase for smaller households or units?" I mean I already perceive the power wall as low capacity like the example that the car has better capacity (Tho I'm always thinking in terms of an off-grid build) but yeah imagine a 'baby' sized power wall outside your caravan 😄I think it has to do with supply and demand. My theory is Tesla may be delaying the introduction of another product until they fulfilled most of their backlog orders although maybe good for business but could undermine their creditbliy on promised ETAs. 3) I wasn't familiar with the acronyms "V2G" & "VPP" that you used, I searched them up and dang thanks, this is some interesting concepts :D
