This is like a fever dream lol Also I have never grown to hate a character more in such a short time frame as I did Keely. I was actually legitimately shocked at how visceral and angry my reaction was to a character in a 6 minute comedy sketch with such a ridiculous premise. I had a physical urge to yell shut up alongside the other detective, can honestly say I never wanted to yell at a fictional character to shut up before lol. You somehow managed to condense a whole movie's worth of hate in like 30 seconds. Even before he stole the credit I was almost getting worked up over how much I hated him. Can't say I've ever had a piece of media induce such a strong and vitriolic emotion before and the absurdity of that reaction is amplified by the fact that it's not even a piece of media meant to be taken seriously. All in all this is an amazing piece of content. Media is meant to, amongst other things, invoke emotions and provoke thoughts and your content has always been excellent at that in a wide range of ways.

Such courageous self-exploration! The stutterer represents Mr. Hager's id, with its socially-unacceptable impulses, while the rookie represents his ego, in conflict over what to do with the id, and the one who ultimately does the "real work" of the self. The barkeep, OTOH, is the audience and others exterior to his self, questioning his motivations, to whom he (through his ego, the rookie) must make justifications, so that he can get his id - the stutterer- what he needs to "take his penis out." In the end, however, it is the mask of his "public self" - Keeley - which wins the approval of the super ego - the chief - leaving Mr. Hager's ego - the rookie - with an ever-growing bitterness to his public persona. I guess what I'm really trying to say is: when you come to this woman and demand to see her penis, I'll know why.

Really the rookie is being punished karmically for abandoning his morals. He knew it wasn't right to go around checking the penises of every guy slippin on his words but he stooped to that level anyway. He didn't do it for justice either, I think he was motivated by a petty desire to show up Keeley. The chemistry and dynamics you’ve created with only yourself as a cast is jaw dropping and the humor is on point as always… for me why it works so well Is because you’ve technically created something that is close enough to the look and feel of a classic film that we accept it for 6 minutes, but the over the top story and humor is something we would never see from film in that era. A testament to your writing and editing skills. This is gonna be a weird comparison but it’s like seeing Bob saget do dirty standup , or when my dad used to do Disney character voices and make them say dirty shit to make me laugh. There’s an expectation that is subverted and eventually met in a way you wouldn’t expect (the killer is found but a hidden love between the cops is revealed) and it all still advances the plot in a way that isn’t like “plotty” it’s based on emotions and the why of the plot makes sense in a bizarro world kinda way…bravo champ (Bill Hader does a great Working it out podcast episode where he talks about his journey from short form comedy to more long form art in “Barry,” I think you’d enjoy that if you haven’t listened already)

UKposts has hit True Crime channels hard because of the "disturbing content". It's possible this is falling into that category according to the algorithm, so it's being treated like those channels.

Joel, just want to say that I appreciate the fact that you come up with top notch sketches every week, in a youtube landscape that does not accommodate sketch comedy like it used to. That's something you should be very proud of. Thanks for all the laughs!

Just like Cast Away made me care about a volleyball, you made me care about a rookie cop (played by you) and hate the other one (also played by you). Genuinely well done.

Something about this one took it up a notch for me, there's something a little extra from you coming through here and I'm lovin' it. Really liked the use of the half-light in so many of the shots too. It was really funny, I know it's not a serious film, but I found myself getting invested like it was at times!! :D

I loved the style of this! The sound design and filters and close up shots actually made this an immersive film noire private eye film! It was hilarious as all your improv is, but also genuinely felt like an installment in this genre!

[suspect's face implodes, Cole checks notes] *Cole Phelps:* "Cut the crap, Joe. I know your name's on the members list at the Penis Owner's Club downtown."
