Actually many Bluetooth speaker models support one speaker tethering another, like UE boom, Sony SRS-X11, B&O S3, to get stereo sound or amplified volume. You only need to pair your phone to one of the speakers.

I know the BT 5.0 isn't the reason "dual audio" is supported, but then what supports dual audio? Is it because the S8 has dual-bluetooth or new software that utilizes bluetooth to support connecting to 2 Bluetooth devices. I have an S6 and I am usually connected to 3 Bluetooth devices at all times (BT headset, Smartwatch, and BT speakers) and sometimes I might get a 4th device. Will the S6 or S7 receive dual audio or is it hardware and not supported by older phones?

NEED ADVICE I'm planning to buy Bose qc35 which work with BT 4.1. Is it worth waiting for bose to update their hardware to 5.0? TIA

I have noticed that way LG V20 handle bluetooth is different from HTC. With the LG V20 I hop in my car, I have my bluetooth headset connected already and then it allows me to connect to the car phone/ audio no problems. So if I get a phone call I can either pickup on my headset or the car radio. I had an accident with the LG V20 and replaced it with an HTC U11 (its a great phone). Now I have to disconnected any bluetooth headset first, to allow the car to connect to phone. I have one of the Huawei Talk Band 2 watches which doubles s a bluetooth headset. I have a workaround using tasker on my phone but in summary I still need to disconnect the talkband to get the bluetooth in the car to work for phone calls. It is interesting how bluetooth is implemented differently from phone to phone. Its not something you can easily test before buying the phone. Most review videos don't go into that type of detail. Are these hidden features "hardware" or "software" or a bit of both? I wish I review phones I'd like to test all models to test the behaviour :). I tried to find "hidden bluetooth" settings on my phone to see if I can tweak it. No luck there. Tasker does the job for now.

Samsung Reps have told other UKpostsrs and myself that Bluetooth 5 is the reason it can now do dual audio and separate app sound since launch. That's probably why there is so much confusion on the matter.

And i was wondering how i could stream music to 2 bluetooth headsets at the same time on my S7 Edge.

Could that explain why when I connect two speakers to use the duel audio features, they are not in sync and the second speaker was choppy, in and out, until I turned off the first speaker then turned it back on it was good, still not in sync though. then after 5 minutes both speakers stopped receiving signal?

Samsung must have got a new patent that permits any two Bluetooth speakers(or headphones) to connect to the S8 att the same time. Last year there were certain headphones and speakers that could be paired with the same phone but those accessories had to be from the same brand.

I'm a Samsung fan, but starting from S7 I was disappointed about a few things. First of all the battery is not changeable, then the sd support is not that big and third ( I know it'll probably affect very few people) there's no longer IR blaster which is very useful to command other IR based devices. Hopefully they'll get better again.

That's cute. How do I do dual audio on my Bluetooth 4?

I was gonna get the S8 soley for the BT 5.0. The range is what was important to me. I have large DJ style speakers that are bluetooth. I use them at BBQs, pool parties etc... Having 200 ft of range means I can walk around with my phone instead of leaving it within 30 ft of the speakers. Gonna wait I guess.

Bluetooth on my samsung s8 is horrible. The range is worse than my samsung galaxy s6 edge. It cuts out and disconnects alot. I am really hoping this can be fixed with an update. Please help if you have any advice.
