As an Iraq and Afghanistan combat vet I am grateful for the respect Simon has for the military and the way he references the military to illustrate certain philosophies and ideas he speaks on. This world would be far better off if people like Simon Sinek were representing us in politics/Government. This country needs more people like Simon. Also, FYI... The other speaker/author he’s referring to is Adam Grant. He’s a respected professor at the Wharton School at UPENN. Two different styles of delivery and writing but they are both incredible to follow and read up on.

America never won a single war. They just kill Ed innocent people everywhere. Sinek is not a gentleman he's devil. Satan. He's openly justifying K I L L I N G of innocent people. @UsernameJessEm
@UsernameJessEm 3 роки тому
@@mytube1000javed You sound a little crazy. He wasn't justifying, nor condemning, anything. Military structures accentuate many different dynamics within group and team settings. They are just examples to help explain the point. Only power hungry people and the military industrial complex approve killing innocent people. Normal people do not approve. However, the US has indeed removed many bad actors and terrorists who openly threatened humanity as well, so your wholesale condemnation all military is not right, either. Furthermore, it is incorrect to say the US hasn't won a war. You're not typing in German (or Japanese > Hiroshima/Nagasaki).

When you finally realize you have been playing a game you were unaware of it makes me feel a mix of emotions. When you are aware you are no longer in denial. Moving forward after blowing up multiple times in the finite game you hopefully surrender because the struggle gets real. You finally realize your playing the wrong game. If you can't beat them join em. I want what you have and will work everyday to get where you are. I'm tired and no longer want to blow up. Thank you for being you. Your time is priceless and your mindset is my goal. I will study those that have what I want until I understand how to play this infinite game. I appreciate you and all you do. @@mibrahimdev I get that. But the second part of Ali RA's words (work for the here after as if you're gonna die tomorrow) seems to position religion as a finite game. I don't think it's offensive to look at Religion as a finite game, no? It's not necessarily bad. It just means that religious practice has a time limit. Which it does. Great conversation. Great vision and good job spreading the word for more attentive, servant leadership, among other ideas. An idealist proposition but that does not take away from the pursuit of the ‘infinite’. The other side of the spectrum, the one opposite to the bloodsucking, soul sucking organization that just wants our labor tends to be a victimhood mentality. The greatness of your vision calls on more people to rise above their finite circumstances and stop playing the finite game our top leaders seem to be governed by. If more people put forth this laborious effort to support what so many want it could be better for all. It is much easier to maintain what we have then to transform what we have become. I’m all in with your vision Simon. I find it difficult, once pulling myself out of the finite game to show others there is a better way. The problem is it requires more discipline and hard work and it is not by any means instant gratification. That is a tough sell in America.

I took a nap while listening to UKposts about conspiracies and woke up to this. What’s ironic is I’ve actually been thinking about your five principles of what’s wrong with the perspective and mindset and you clarified it and put it into words. I could tell from the audience questions that they weren’t quite able to internalize your speech. I understand and love it. This is the poison seeping from Wall Street unto Main Street. They win no matter the cost. In politics the philosophy is “the ends justify the means.” I praise your philosophy, but it is an uphill battle and very unpopular in our culture. Thank you for sharing. ❤️ I do disagree with a few of your comments and opinions, but I still respect your thinking.

I have started to reading the Infinite Game, I am very excited and happy to find concepts about the value of the finite and infinite mentality based on game theories, which together with Simon's experience makes us understand the famous Why of things. Viewing life and business as an infinite game with no end... what a great/healthy mindset to keep things in perspective. Especially like how Simon applied this to own life - if something doesn't go the way you wish, you're not necessarily "losing" you're just "behind." It's easy for many of us to beat ourselves up, but understanding that the game is not over and having the confidence to continue to strive for success will certainly help us achieve our long-term goals. Very refreshing! Thanks Simon.

I think Milton Friedman gets unfairly quoted and minimized in a couple of sections of this. But, mostly agree with the thoughts on the long-term gameplan. Indeed, a concept taught in business school is "going concern" - not "going until the next quarter or end of year statement" but an intent to continue indefinitely and ideally businesses should plan accordingly.

Sir, I am big fan of you and have purchased your books 'Start with Why' and on leadership 'Leaders eat last' but in many corporates the environment is exactly opposite. We have Bell curve appraisal method in our organisation and because of that the environment have become so unfriendly that there no trust, collaboration and feeling of sacrifice little for others. What is your opinion on Bell curve method? I am from Mumbai, India
