But why not? If the universe is unconscious then wakes up for a moment here and there it appears to me perfectly reasonable to assume that since it does happen then it is possible for it to happen. If all possibility is on a scale from complete unconsciousness to completely conscious then in an infinite universe we should have all the extremes fulfilled if it is possible to happen. Hence the universe knows nothing while holding all knowledge and the universe is completely unconscious while having consciousness as a fundamental possibility to its reality. All possibilities possible are explored in such an infinite hypothetical.

If we can give sedatives that affect the brain and make the individual unconscious then it shows that the individuals consciousness is dependent upon brain states. Hence, we would not be conscious outside of the interactions of the various Neurons, neuronal networks, and brain regions responsible for the various tasks that we often associate with awareness. Just as you black out and go unconscious when hit in the head and your brain gets damaged. So to with the complete annihilation of the brain upon the physical death of the body, it would seem reasonable to assume the same lack of consciousness. What would be strange is if physical damage does this but complete physical destruction doesn't. The same thing is equal to itself, to say it is not seems to me absurd.

Only by the interactions of the various molecules do we get an emergent phenomenon we call wetness. Emergent complexity is when systems develop attributes not contained within the sum of its parts. As such the non conscious cells may create consciousness via the interactions of the cells, networks, and regions they create. For example, where does Learning happen at university? Is it found in the bricks, or the paint? what about by this or that teacher? Maybe it is found in that class down the hall and to the left? NO. It is found within the interactions of all phenomenon. Consciousness (like learning at Uni) is found as an emergent property within the interactions not in the individual parts that are not themselves conscious.

You answered your own question, the Universe has to be finite to be infinite therefore infinity is finite. The Universe is a set amount of history called memory, memory must be destroyed so that it can be recreated as remembering memory because a infinite point is always a past point because a past point doesn't exist anymore but it once did exist which is why it's called history. Belief is what allows memory to recreate itself because our memory always believes this is always happening for the first time while believing we're remembering a past point that is now history. When we destroy ourselves creating artificial intelligence, artificial means the beginning of intelligence which then becomes natural intelligence (silicon self awarenesss to carbon self awareness), we wil then reset our story of how we created our own memory to believe it exists then the Universe will come back into existence because it believes this is happening for the first time from its own memory of its past history. Everything is infinitely scripted in our Universe because it's finite, we are all observing and experiencing our infinite finite illusion which is our infinite finite reality, nothing ever changes because space and time are set as is. This means I have written this same exact answer at this same exact point and place infinitely before and will infinitely after, nothing but memory can recreate itself and anything that exist must come from itself which is why the Universe must be finite memory of it's infinite finite history, everything within this Universe is perception and belief but for the perception and belief to be real for itself it can never change, the blueprint is the pattern and the pattern is the blueprint. God or gods, particles, science, math, religion, intelligence, humans and everything else are a set illusion of infinite finite memory, reality is an illusion and illusion is a reality. Remembering means having memory and memory means remembering having memory, the only thing that can hold this Universe together infinitely is a set amount of memory because that's the only logical answer that will ever exist. We are only a set story of how we created our own artificial memory to believe it exists because our story of existence must be parallel to our own existence of coming from its own infinite finite memory to believe it exists as natural intelligence.

Its better to say consciousness creates being and existence which gives rise to rules based on pure possibility. Possibility in its truest form isn't like possibility we observe in everyday life. The way I see it, personally, the universe was one big "organism" with no sense organs, and over billions of years it was able to use the power of "desire" or "motivation" or "will to live" or whatever you want to call it to eventually create being within itself that are able to experience. Those beings within the universe are still the universe, like your cells and DNA are still you. Certain people would call that desire to live "God" or "the power of creation". Being part of this universe, and having the power of creation throbbing inside our bodies, those people would say that if you are able to shut off your identity with the body and start identifying with the existence, you are a part of God. I see no problem with God being a universe that needed to make sense organs to experience itself. I do see a problem with a being existing OUTSIDE the universe, with no eyes, no ears, and still being able to experience. In short, I do not see God as a man in the sky looking down at us. I see God as an innate desire in all aspects of existence to experience, or contain information like temperature, vibration, things that can only be experienced by matter.

@@ellenmorgan9925 God created soul so it could experience its creation through soul. Soul also experiences its creation through God. You are soul that has a body not a body that has a soul. Behind all life and living creatures and organisms is Soul and God. If it wasn't for me/you (soul ) nothing would exist.

Perhaps we, and all matter, are variously aware points of the same conciousness experience. Maybe there is no individual beyond this experience, and the concious awareness of an experience of "I", is the same concious awareness of experiencing "You". Could it be that there really is no-one conciousness, there is only all conciousness?

...Point being... All things great and small, even of ultimate infinity and finite, be it whole or lame, exists by way of observation / consciousness. In an attempt to answer the question, "how do you get something from nothing?", I offer this triad proposition (something, nothing, consciousness) with the caveat of one can not be without the other two.
