1. He often talks about patients issues on podcasts (although he doesn't name them), he tells stories about them and cites their issue to make an example of them. And he's famous enough that these patients would definitely know who he's talking about. 2. He would cancel appointments with patients for "being sick" meanwhile also making public appearances that same day on media (TV, UKposts, Podcast). 3. He paused his clinical practices and teaching since 2018, and has not been practicing psychology for 5 years now. 4. He tells his patients on email autoreply that responsind to fanmail is more important than responding to them. He deserves more than just taking the course again, he shouldn't even have his license anymore. He's almost as bad as Dr Phil.

How the hell does A DIVORCE COURT force a medical clinic to close?? What jurisdiction do they have? You HAVE to sue. Please appeal your case to a higher court, for the good of all Americans!

The larger plan, in Ohio at least, is to remove physicians from front line patient contact and relegate them to a managerial role. Physicians are becoming too rare to maintain the model currently used by mega hospitals, so the plan is to use physicians assistants exclusively for patient facing care and have the physicians work part time to review the work and advise the front line. This will force doctors to work at several hospital systems and different locations every day. These big hospital systems are sick of dealing with doctors who think they know what's best for their patients just because they've working withntheir patients for years. What does a doctor know about individual care if they don't look at the balance sheets in an office building 15 miles away with no patients, right?

I'd like to speak with you regarding some concerns, sounds to me like you would have the statistical data I'm looking for.

As a fellow licensed healthcare professional, this is no more concerning than the average expectations for any healthcare professional. I would likely be pulled in front of a disciplinary or licensing committee if I were to spurt out controversial political opinions to my patients, regardless of it's relevance to my actual clinical practice. Realistically, he's a global representative of the profession, and if he's going to tweet out comments about beauty standards and Elliot Page, it's going to naturally reflect on the profession as a whole, positively or negatively. I think having a nuanced perspective on Jordan Peterson is essential - it's concerning to see how much people will rationalise every single behaviour of his through the lens of him fighting the good fight - at the end of the day, I'm sure he's contributed a lot to people's lives, I'm sure he's wise and knowledgeable in many ways, but that doesn't mean he's infallible, and in these situations, we ought to reflect on that; that's not to say he's not an admirable person in many ways - if anything, fallibility emboldens his other messages in certain ways because it allows us to relate to him on a more personal level, rather than seeing him deified on a pedestal above us. Jordan said repeatedly in interviews that he'd respect the chosen names and pronouns of people if he were asked to, and that his issue with the Canadian bill that he originally opposed was more about freedom of speech than about the morality of respecting a person's request to be named as they chose. When he tweeted about Elliot Page, he demonstrated the complete opposite - Peterson refused to honour Elliot's request, and honestly embarrassed himself somewhat in the process, because even if he wanted to argue a legal point, rather than a moral one, Elliot's name was changed by law, and he still refused to acknowledge that. As I said, I'm all for supporting Peterson in certain ways, and I do think he's contributed a lot to the lives of so many people, but I think in situations like this, it's important to remember that your heroes make mistakes too, and it's important for Peterson to acknowledge his mistakes. Unfortunately, he's demonstrated a pretty consistent tendency to avoid taking responsibility for his own mistakes and instead externalising the accountability onto others - even when he developed a benzodiazepine addiction, which is an incredibly difficult and understandable issue, he made repeated excuses to avoid acknowledging that benzos helped him feel better and he became increasingly reliant on them physically and psychologically. That's not shameful - but I think it's unfortunately quite shameful to refuse to acknowledge it at all.

He is not a climate scientist. He's a psychiatrist. As Jay states above me, Peterson's opinions on climate science reflect poorly on his field. He is not doing himself any favours by pushing his own false climate science narrative when that's a field he has scant education in.

I can’t believe anyone is surprised that an official board of doctors, in any field, doesn’t want someone known for focusing on personal opinions to be associated with their profession - one that’s supposed to rely on science & promise to focus on the mental health of patients. If he wants to be a famous & rich social media influencer, he can 100% do it - but unfortunately he can’t have it both ways. The so called "truth" seems to be selling quite well. His followers have to understand that the only thing he wants is money...his followers money.

What blows me away is his high degree of lucidity and the organizing of his own thoughts. The fact that he can speak at length with such cohesiveness and order! Some people talk like that and they're just kind of rambling but he is just fiercely putting things together with such clarity and it makes so much sense. I'm always blown away when I listen to him!

I don't agree with everything JP says,but I like him and he is a brilliant intellectual that can can speak intelligently on a broad range of subjects and topics. It seems to me because he is renowned and well known for speaking out on wokeness and the damaging effects it has on traditional values in modern day culture his opinions on Trudeau were taken the way they were because JP has such a following that I could see how his followers and the public could think he is aware of some things involving Trudeau based on his tweets about him that make his decision making process questionable and could make the public question his effectiveness as a leader. He is pretty young to be a PM.

Well, technically he is a genious - his IQ is 150+ and he’s by far the most articulate and insightful public speaker I’ve witnessed in my lifetime (I’m 33). His grasp of the full spectrum of our modern social landscape and these issues is unparalleled. Yet it’s all bolstered by common sense!
