Oof, i've always feared that happening, ... thanks for testing something i was too much of a coward to. Mechanic tip: you can use bombs at any range, don't confuse it for the range of your shotgun, in a similar line of thought, most right click/active (wands) mechanics have hidden aspects that vastly change their appeal (most for the better), i'd recommend confirming they work as you'd think. Also, the achievements for this game, whilst some are of the thought of "friendly combo", the majority of them are mean and are a struggle to finish even on normal difficulty (if you're looking for a break from the harder difficulties, here's something else to do). there are also a few... mysteries there (i have ideas, but are yet to solve, don't spoil)

If you hold shift it turns on a unsafe mode in which the shields don't protect you, it's good for if you have sacred crown or you know that you're gonna kill a piece on the board.

yeah and that's why grenades are a bad item they are good against some pawn groups, and sure, if you have the downpour wand it can really come into its own. But it guzzles ammo, random in where it lands, horrible at close range, and sometimes it can just fuck you on the bounces.

Grenades make the game easy mode: - They have unlimited range. Downside is that the further you lob them the more they bounce around before exploding. This doesn't matter especially once there are a lot of enemies on board as you're almost always guaranteed to hit something. If you start by aiming at the king on the back rank, you're almost always going to hit something valuable. - They don't cause you to die from discovered check. Killing a pawn blocking a queen in your direct line doesn't kill you - They don't need loaded ammo. In addition, you appear to haven't understood how gaining ammo works: If you move, first you reload your gun. If your gun can't be reloaded (because it's full or you're out of ammo) then you gain ammo instead. If you don't keep firing every other turn, you can gain ammo quickly by moving a bunch of times in a row. I've easily beaten King mode with a grenade build, it's the easiest way to win that I've found so far.

I like seeing what strategies other people have in strategy games. And I have been seeing your content a lot in my suggested videos to watch. And to be honest I don't mind. Again I like seeing people play strategy games as it is interesting. And you seem to be good at it.

Hey tyler! Just figured i’d give you a tip since i don’t think it’s mentioned anywhere. If you keep your gun fully loaded then you regen 1 ammo per turn rather than 1 ammo every two turns.

The black mist might not of activated because there weren't any spaces nearby for you to move to (since it tries to move you out of danger), but that's just a guess.

alright the elite gem work good with grenade because you can do grenade in every 2 turn also it wasn't recommended to throw grenade at under 4 space away from king

So one other thing it seems you are missing is that if your gun is loaded and you have space for ammo, every move gives you extra shells. It's far more efficient to load your gun and make a bunch of moves to refill a lot of ammo instead of always firing -> 2 moves -> fire -> 2 moves

You should try a run where instead of making a synergy build for you, you focus on making a synergy build for the opponent and see if you can still beat them

Hey tyler quick tip for the knights : if the knight is on an white space it can only move to an black space and can only move again onto an white space which means it can only check on white spaces (its the same when thw knight starts on an black space but swap black with white and white with black)

Hey, a bit of spoilers but there is a secret final boss in the game. The way to unlock it is to have a run getting the red book for the whites, and at the Mega King fight, defeat him while leaving at least 1 bishop alive. It will be hard, so good luck if you try it
