I watched it with Gaelic sub, then I watched it again with English sub by using the ‘translate to English’ option, then I watched again with Gaelic subs on 0.25 speed, and I will also watch it with Icelandic sub and Dutch sub and Norwegian sub etc, because I am learning all those languages and the other Germanic and Celtic languages 2gether, and I already have a pretty good level in those three, so it’s a great way to see the words again and again, so that they all become very automatic in my hern! I already knew a few Gaelic words, so I could tell which word was the noun and which word was the preposition and which word was the verb most of the times, because I know the articles an and na that are before the noun, and I know that in Breton prepositions have a similar aspect with e- before the word, so I figured that the words like a-staigh are the prepositions, and I also knew most of the pronouns like mi / mise and the word uisge is similar to the Irish word uisce which means water, so I suppose it’s also used for rain, and I am pretty sure an làr means the floor because in Welsh it is lawr / llawr! This was my first session, because I rewatch vocab videos at least 30 times over a longer period of time, or until I feel like I can automatically remember every word, and I do three watches per session the first three sessions, and if I am not sure about the meaning of a word I go to G translate because both Scottish Gaelic and Irish are on G translate tho the pronunciation isn’t available yet!
