These people in the community seem to be so kind.

I've been to Honobia three times, during my 4 years living in Tulsa OK. It's a very nice place and at night, I kid you not, gets very mystical. There's no doubt in my mind that there are Sasquatch in that area, no question about it.

Great doc, Mr. Holland. Did the people of that town great justice and showed the beauty of the area. I passed through there only a few weeks ago with a hiking buddy. The drive from Talihina to Honobia on the Indian Highway is amazing and the lady we stopped and talked to at the Cafe & RV Park was informative and very friendly. Grabbed some pics and videos while we were there and generally enjoyed the 15 hour day trip capped off by our stop in Honobia. Unfortunately, Bigfoot Crossing Gift Shop was closed by the time we got there. Was hoping for more stories from the area.

Excellent film, Bryce! I loved the broad spectrum of people interviewed. And the opportunity to see the beauty of the land out there. What a slice of Americana. Interesting to see & read about the sense of mysticalness in the region. Modern humans, with all of our technology, are still animals, and as such, we have survival instincts that alert us of being watched, or that something is awry. I never knew much about Sasquatch; like most, I assumed it was a hoax, myth or legend. However, once when I was camping out alone, 25 years ago, out in the wilderness, with no fire or lantern, only a maglite in my backpack, I was sitting on my sleeping bag (no tent) in a small ravine, when at about 8:30 pm, something massive & bipedal came charging through the thick brush above me, vocalizing unearthly sounds. I froze in fear, knowing full well I was about to be killed. As it was about to reach the edge, bursting through the foliage, and come flying on top of me, all sounds abruptly ceased, as it had begun, out of the blue. Since researching the Forest People this past year, my experience had all the classic hallmarks of an encounter. And, in the area I was at, others had had reported sightings. Sure glad I didn't know at the time. I simply chalked it up to a bizarre paranormal phenomena.

@Lucas Stidman bless your heart, brother. I know all about being poor as church mice. I'm from Buena Park, ca. We don't have bigfoot running around, but we do have a whole bunch of calloused ass humans. I'll pray for you & yours tonight.

I lived in a cabin in that same area of eastern OK last spring. I went on lots of nature walks alone. My sister found a human skeleton in the forest. No clothing, nor car keys. Nothing but the skeleton was found. Police were notified but never told us who it was.

I believe you're actually seeing some headlights appearing. We shot that seen not terribly far from a pretty well travelled road, so we kept seeing these flare ups of light under the night vision.

"Since 2001, Oklahoma's LeFlore Count accounts for more than four times the number of Bigfoot sightings than any single county in the six surrounding states." **I think that county probably has four times as many operating stills as the six surrounding states. **Note: I made that comment to be humorous but then I decided to check and see where the moonshine was being produced in Oklahoma. You'll never guess. Yep... LeFlore County. Here's a quote from the link below: "Moonshining has long been a common practice in many rural areas of the country, including the southeast portion of Oklahoma. “It's just a way of life people do down here,” Daniels said. "I've probably taken down more stills in Le Flore County than I have anywhere in the state." There ya go. You can all go home now. It's just moonshiners trying to scare people away from their stills. newsok.com/article/3857980/moonshining-makes-a-comeback-in-oklahoma

@shaunrogers88116 років тому
well there is the leflore county massacre in which the county gots its name after joshua leflore who led a party of men that killed off a family of bigfoot that where preying on the children in the area. he died during the battle after being grabbed by one while he emptied his pistols into the creatures chest and it promptly decapitated him . His men killed them with head shots from 50 cal buffalo rifles. and well the county is named after him so the story is validated by the county name.
@shaunrogers88116 років тому
the people their seem to talk about the creatures as if they are real. revenue and more people help the people of the area with income and more people = less squatch activity close to town. since people gp out looking for them it pushes the squatches a lttle further out. it why the keep referring to to how small and isolated the community is . the you also have the seige of honobia encounter which involves the same area. which further supports the bigfoot activity.
@shaunrogers88116 років тому
the area is perfect a mountain in a rural remote area, with convergence of 3 rivers. that provides them with travel routes, shelter at elevation and food sources, with minimal human activity in certain areas. Its the perfect area for squatches, who are not nice neighbors to have. as the desire to bring more people into the area during a certain time of the year. I would wager the festival occurs at the same time they normally had the most trouble with the creatures. more people ,more noise more people searching for the creatures makes them leave the area or lay low. Farmers must lose less animals, less missing pets etc.

Hi Veronica I have just been up to the NE of New Zealand, very beautiful, quite mountainous. Maori legends also has Bigfoot, and the area I visited is a key area. Driving through a pine-clad valley one morning I passed a cafe truck stop with a huge 10 ft wooden maori Bigfoot placed outside. It was good to see the knowing.

I think it's hilarious that these guys @30:00 into the video are so arrogant as to think Sasquatch is ignorant and doesn't know the difference between the howl of another Sasquatch vs. the ridiculous whoops of man, lol. I've said for decades now that man's ignorance & arrogance is his biggest downfall.
