The Real Reason The Devil Wears Prada's Miranda Priestly Is Based Off Of Anna Wintour, And Why She's Been Named 'Nuclear Wintour'.
Subscribe: goo.gl/Hnoaw3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s no denying that Anna Wintour has done more than change Vogue magazine; she’s had a massive impact on the fashion industry. But although her career looks impressie at first glance, when you take a closer look you’ll realize she hasn’t always been a resounding success. The life story of this fashion icon is fascinating, even the part where she was let go from Harper’s Bazaar after only nine months of employment. Although she had two children, Bee Shaffer and Charles Shaffer with her first husband, David Shaffer, she went on to marry Shelby Bryan, which caused no small amount of controversy. And speaking of controversy, we’ll also talk about her impact on the fur industry and the decision to put Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the cover. The Devil Wears Prada made her a household name overnight but not in the best way. In fact, the industry seems pretty split on people who think she’s done incredible work to those who think she’s everything that’s wrong with the fashion industry.
What do you think about the woman many people call “Nuclear Wintour?” Do you think she deserves her icy cold reputation or is there more to her than most people see? Take some time to share your thoughts with us in the comment section and then click on the subscribe button for more of the latest and greatest videos from us here at TheTalko. Bye for now!

People talk so much about how she dresses and how she lacks creativity but no one stops to think that, that is her personal style. If you were to be in any location, you would immediately recognize her on the spot for her specific presentation of self (as long as you know who she is). It's genius. Also, in the fashion industry, her own personal choice of style for herself, she does NOT limit to the rest of the fashion industry. Everything you see published by vogue is ultimately run by her, based on the subject, looks, etc. If she were really so limited in just her own style, all you would see on the cover of a vogue magazine would just be women and men dressed like her.

I think it's humbling because we can all realize that we only get good at what we spend time doing and we can't spend our time doing one thing only if we want to be well-rounded. But if we choose to be possibly the best in the world at something then you probably need to put all of your time into that and then other things aren't as good. For me I think we should probably make it okay for people to not have kids because maybe some people would just be better working and not having kids? And why shouldn't that be okay for them to do without being put down? Like Steve Jobs is another person that I can appreciate and learn from some things that he did but overall as a person I wouldn't call him a role model because he was actually a horrible human being and you can learn more about what not to do and how not to treat people from him than anything. I just finished the book his daughter Lisa Brennan jobs roach and it's so sad how he treated her. But she turned out to be an amazing person and she took every opportunity that she did have in life and did the best you could with it which is what I know judge people for. I judge people for how they spend their time and energy, how they treat other people and how they choose to build businesses. I think we can learn to have empathy while also doing these other things in life. We really only get good at the things that we prioritize but for some reason we want to think that we can do more. That's just our ego, and our ego is wrong because we really need to sleep and eat and take care of ourselves or we die.

For me I think it's just disingenuous. Like I can totally ignorant that any success that I ever get is because of my dad and how he supported me with his money. There's no doubt about that and me working hard doesn't I have anything to do with that. I think everybody should have that opportunity to have their school paid for and not have loans and things like that. And to me this means it's an opportunity to talk about how everybody should have more opportunities instead she chooses to make it about her insecurities and trying to act like she didn't have as much opportunity as she did. This to me shows that she's just really insecure and I can have empathy for that because I know that I'm secure enough in myself that I can speak out about it and my dad have any money that helps me go to school doesn't take away from my heart work either. To me it's an opportunity to talk about how we all need each other and how nothing is created by one person only. That drives me nuts about Facebook because Mark Zuckerberg acts like he did it all on his own and you really didn't he's just a rich kid that also had a lot of opportunities. I think everybody should have as many opportunities as me and I think it's so fucked up how other people want to push other people down I think this need to be better than other people is actually a weakness.

Grace Coddington uses couture and creates dreams and fantasies, and Anna packages those dreams and sells them to the masses. They are the heart and the head of Vogue, respectively, and they do their jobs to excellence. They are the cream of their respective fields, and rightfully so. Anna probably hates "The Devil Wears Prada" because it hits too close to home, no matter how hard she'd like to think otherwise. She's extremely self-absorbed, and has been for a VERY long time. Andre Leon Talley knew this, too, so it's funny to see him crying foul, now that he's been expunged from her inner circle. He had one hell of a ride for 40+ years, though.

She wears a wig...wears glasses to hide her dark circles...wears unusual style to draw attention to herself to feed her ego. I've never read a Vogue in my life. I don't buy a magazine to page past the hundreds of fashion ads to get to the one story buried between slouching models wearing haute couture and a hand with a Cartier watch worn cattywappus because it might be clever. One has to care about the mag to care about the editor...even then most people don't give a crap. Anna Wintour wanted to be famous but really had no talent, apparently, except to organize pages of ads, pictures, and a little bit of copy. She stood on the shoulders of others. If I made a bucket list of publications I would want to be published in, Vogue wouldn't be one of them. P.S. Fashion is whatever you are wearing on any given day, be it something one of a kind or from the thrift store. We wear the clothes not the price tags.

It’s not what’s handed to you, it’s what you do with it. In her decades long tenure in vogue, I have probably a thousand complaints, but the few good decisions she made changed the structure of commercial fashion as we know it today. Everyone has their one cent about the world of fashion, but everyone wears clothes every single day. What you have on you is a result of countless decisions made by people you’ll never understand unless you’re genuinely invested in the industry at large.

Often times when people are incredibly shy and worse, if you add anxiety to that, people are often seen as intimidating because they tend to not converse too much and are more so removed, this standing out.
