OMG, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS MOVIE!!! I remember watching it when I was a kid! And for obvious reasons, I thought IT WAS a Barbie movie! So when I grew up and randomly remember watching it I tried to look it up, BUT I COULDN’T FIND IT, I WATCHED EVERY BARBIE MOVIE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED IT WAS A BARBIE MOVIE!! I thought I was losing it because no one else remembers ever watching this “Barbie” movie but me, I even got my dad to help me look for it because I couldn't have possibly imagined a whole-ass movie by myself, right!? Eventually, I gave up and came to the conclusion that it was an obscure Barbie movie that for some reason got banned and erase from the lineup. I can now die peacefully knowing that I finally uncovered the truth, thank you, kind sir.🙇‍♀️

As someone who grew up with Barbie films, I neeeeeed you to review it. I'm 20 and I still watch them every once in awhile. Absolutely classics. Also inspired my absolute love for lost princess stories.

Dear god, i remember this. I had convinced myself this was just a fever dream my child brain conjured up, but alas, this shit was fucking real.

I remember picking up this movie at a stall at my church when I was 4 years old. I was so excited to find it because the rest of the movies where all adult actions. Cost 50p and went to my grandmas for the night. I fell in love with it, and all the songs. When I rewatched it a few months ago, I took great joy in showing my friends the wonderful animations. My favourite includes the black void eyes of the unicorn and the princes hair style. Love people discovering crappy childhood favourite movies of mine. If it weren’t for nostalgia alone, I too would find them ridiculous. (Let’s be honest, even with the nostalgia it’s still ridiculous) Would love to see some barbie reactions! ♥️♥️

As a Brit I feel I need to stick up for Sindy. Many British girl’s preferred her to Barbie as she was more down to earth. I had a few along with my Barbies when I was little in the 80s but admittedly, this was after Sindy’s heyday in the 60s & 70s. I remember having a ‘Barbiefied’ Sindy in the late 80s, it’s a shame Sindy never made a big comeback. Also Sindy had her own doll’s house, cars, bikes and her boyfriend is called Paul, not Ken.

OH MY GOD I cannot tell you how excited I was to see that wretched thumbnail! My friend grew up with this movie, and shared it with me about three years ago, and since then I've been looking for review content to confirm that it wasn't a feverdream. The DVD she had came with a making of documentary, and the 2D storyboards look far better than the final product. They also wanted to sell this as "a fairytale for the 20th century?" OMG!!! I had this film on VHS growing up and I LOVED it. Especially the scenes when the real girl would look at the doll while her story was taking place. I was convinced that meant my dolls were having adventures when I wasn't watching them. I could quote huge swathes of the film by heart and I watched it so often I broke the tape it was on. Did not expect the nostalgia to hit me so hard when you played excerpts from the film. I gotta see if I can find this online again.

OMG! We had this movie on DVD and my sister was obsessed with it. The Dutch dub had so many mistakes and random silent parts or stuff that cut-off. It was crazy. I never even realized it was a Barbie knock-off. Also I would 100% watch any Barbie movie content you make.
