Little late, but I hated the movie because of all the cartoons and then toy story’s I watched, I expected what I was gonna watch would pay homage to everything disney had regarding buzz, but no, they fucked it up and gave us a story/movie that we didn’t need. its kinda like Rey in Star-Wars, we didn’t need it or want it, but we got it anyways.

I know this is five years old but I’d argue that animation back than was honestly more appealing in every way. Idk what it was probably less ai functions implemented back then so people actually drew things by hand in concept. The movie had insane lighting and depth of field too compared to kids movies now that use 3D art to get over the expense of the original dream works animation. Idk dream works just started making ugly movies along with every other studio. Or if anything movies with similar quality.

AtLA truly is "nearly perfect." The only "bad" episode is the Great Divide and the only problem in the entire show is the deus ex machina Lion Turtle that magically resolves the Avatar vs Air Nomad choice that the show has been building up in the prior episodes. And even then the finale hits you in the feels like a truck and ties up pretty much everything very nicely. And other than that the show is 10/10 in every metric.

Fun Fact: My dumb young impressionable self saw spongebob brush his eyes in the first movie, thought "surely that works", and proceeded to full Toothpaste brush my eyes outside. I IMMEDIATELY stopped cause it stung so bad
