Marques has become a master of his craft. Every video is a work on it’s own and I am so glad that I’ve been able to watch that progression over the years.

Most of the times I would lay down my phone on the screen to get less distracted by it. A small one at the back might help get you more useful notifications without the need of actually picking up your phone or having to wear a Smartwatch.

I'll always take a second screen on the back in favor of getting rid of the front camera ever since I first saw it. It's the only way you can go full non-moving parts, full front screen, and still be waterproof. I'm all for this, and thicker phones for more battery to match these new cameras. We've gotten too far into thinness, just make them thicker so I can stop worrying about battery life.

I totally would have a phone with a giant camera bump like that. And the little screen seems dope. My biggest gripe with the bumps is how the phones rock, and this solved that problem.

The depth of field is dependent on the aperture not the sensor, the exposure is used to compensate light. Shouldn't make any difference. Other than much better signal to noise.

I had been using the 4.7 inch iPhone for about 3 years and I thought that I would struggle with getting to grips with a bigger phone but to my amazement the way my hand adapted to the larger phone e.g. when gripping the phone to take a picture in landscape mode my fingers landed on the buttons brilliantly and that caused me to think that 'man what a wasted number of years using the smaller iPhone!" so yes I can understand the logic that u are using. 4:44 I think the iPhone is the one that is likely compensating with overprocessing by looking at that super high contrast in the reflections at night vs big sensor Xiaomi. iPhone seems to be applying a high degree of luminescence and HDR.

I still remember the Galaxy Zoom I had one and that will always be the “largest smartphone camera ever”

For some the screen on the back might sound like a gimmick. But for me who wants to easily record some singing/playing piano, I want to use the rear camera if possible and even selfies, I would like to use the best camera available. So this feature is basically exactly what I'm looking for in my future phone and this one might be it. I just have to look into the audio quality when recording videos, but Xiaomi have had top score in the past, so I bet this one follows suite. The battery situation is definitely worrisome. I hope it's more a bug than anything else.

Looks pretty awesome. Shame about the hole punch for the selfie camera. With the screen on the back would have been great to just leave it out all together.

DXO detailed testing shows it trumps every other phone camera on the market. That little screen on the back also shows you incoming messages and you can answer or reject phone calls from it as well, all with out picking your phone up off the table.

reminds me of the nokia lumia 1020 my mother used to have a number of years ago. phone was from roughly 2011 but had a 41 megapixel camera sensor.

Great presentation as always! Unfortunately, the MI 11 Ultra (the Chinese version that is) is not compatible with 5g bands used among U. S. carriers. Perhaps the global version will be... in any event, compatibility with your country's carriers should be the first thing to check for when considering any Chinese phone especially if you live in the States.
