What X said about learning how to rap like how the old heads did it instead of learning how new school rappers do it was so fire. It’s so true. You gotta master the fundamentals first. It creates longevity. That’s why so many of these new rappers are here today and gone tomorrow. Because their style has already been ran thru and it’s on to the next. It order to stay relevant, you need to have variety.

I still remember watching this interview after hearing “fuxk” for the first time, and i just had a feeling like he was gonna be someone big in the future. It’s actually crazy witnessing the beginning until the end. I stopped listening to him when he dropped 17 because like all the other x fanboys i hated the mainstream stuff he did lmao but i would hear about him occasionally like his beef with migos and would hear songs from his newer albums but when he died, it was pretty weird, like it wasn’t even real. But 5 years later he has impacted so many ppl’s lives and that’s something special. And X was the blueprint for Opium 😂
