I am a retired high school school teacher. I had a student in class that was extremely motivated to start his own business. He started selling bicycles in his basement and then proceeded to own a ski shop. The business went bankrupt, but that didn’t stop his enthusiasm. He was determined to succeed. He never graduated from college. Mike Rubin was my student who became a billionaire. It can be done.

You mean Mike Rubin, the CEO of Fanatics, the bane of every true sports fan who likes quality merchandise? Hockey fans are now outraged that the NHL is switching their jersey production from Adidas to Fanatics because the quality always goes down significantly. These billionaires become billionaires because all they care about is themselves and money, and it shows. There are more important aims than making a ton of money. I suspect very few if any people that wealthy are truly content in life. They’re parasites.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

As an owner of a few businesses, I feel the need to temper her message a bit before people run out and buy inexpensive businesses. Sure, it is possible to qualify for a loan to invest in a small business, but success is SO much more than "buying" businesses. You actually have to run the business. In a perfect world, you have that ideal hard worker that is willing to run it for you. That perfect employee who is willing to work themselves to death so you can capitalize on owning the company that they run. But the world isn't perfect. Businesses fail as the economy shifts. People can lose big. And, for most of us, we don't have that perfect employee who wants to put in all that work for zero equity. So, then the business is your responsibility. Compound that with more businesses owned... My point is that it's not as simple as a loan, a needy seller, and some hustle. It's mostly about having great people to run it all for you.
@dodopson3211

Something that resonated with me is what Codie said about outgrowing people and becoming somebody who the people that loved her (and whom she loved) didn't recognize. And Steven, the thought of people saying "come back down here with us" is potent! I think when people who are interested in self improvement, emotional intelligence and deep dives into various facets of life have people in their lives who, in fundamental ways, remain stagnant, even if those relationships were or are significant, we often have to face that the relationships will inevitably change. The weight we give those relationships can mean the difference between acting out of fear and acting out of respect for our authentic selves. I see that a lot of depression and other mental and emotional issues stem from "loved ones" giving advice to others when, really, as Codie says, that advice is only in line with what they see possible for themselves, not for others. Far too many people are pushed down paths that are not meant for them. Some of us, myself included, spend years or even decades trying to reassemble ourselves feeling we've wasted so much time and energy in the wrong areas (careers, cities, relationships, etc.). I don't remember where I first heard it, but I think of this quote a lot: "If you don't design your life, someone else will do it for you." That should be a pretty scary thought for most people, because nobody knows you better than yourself - not your teachers, not your guidance counselors, not your friends, not your family. If you struggle to know yourself enough to make some hard decisions, one book I found really helpful was How to Find Fulfilling Word by Roman Krznaric (via The School of Life). Do the exercises. :) You could also take a Birkman Assessment which can be pretty revealing. Hope everyone out there is doing ok today.

Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventuality, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

This lady Codie is a Gem. She is the realest. I always say why wealthy people always talk about their deals but never talk about the process leading up to the deals. Even to say how many times you they have to attend meetings before securing the deals. It's always a fluff. I like the fact she spoke about the business terms. The terms and meaning are important. She is a real hustler. I love this podcast session. I hope she comes back to talk about business challenges and how she overcame and how she process her losses to win in the end.

Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. I was severely ill for a couple days and didn't even call into work or talk to my family or anyting. I went in a few days ago and the boss was all pissy and told me there will never be a raise in my future that I think I'm above everyone else but then said he really needs me. So I quit I'm freaking done. And already I have another job making twice as much money and I'm pretty much booked for handyman work at $45 an hour in my extra time. Basically if you're in a job when they're only going to give you tiny raises and s*** just go do something that you know how to do and charge people for it. One major problem right now is that nobody can find any people to do handyman type work. In fact in my other side business people are extremely grateful that I even called him back. Everybody wants to be a damn landscaper but if you are reasonably intelligent you can teach yourself a skill. For instant I just woke up one day and decided I wanted to learn woodworking so I spent about four grand on bice tools and now I am pretty much professional woodworker. Another skill that pays $$$. Not to mention I'm actively involved with trying to close real estate deals with seller finance so one of these methods or all of them combined is going to make me multiple times more money than I could ever do it a day job! Hang in there. Sometimes it takes getting out of your comfort zone and being forced to really hustle to improve yourself to ever take a step forward.

I’m forever grateful that my business that I created allowed me financially to make that decision. It was a pivotal moment for me. The year of cocooning on my own was also healing. I loved every second of this video. I went to college and got a degree as an engineer because everyone kept telling me that's what you do when you're good at math and science. I worked as an engineer for about 4-5years and hated every second of it. Now I have been blessed with the opportunity to figure out what it is I want to do which can be pretty scary and intimidated when you're not sure what your next move or thing is. Even though you definitely will have family members left and right telling you to go back to do the thing you didn't like just for money or to tell others that you have a fancy job. I would advise you to push through and figure out what it is you love especially if you are in a good financial place or get an opportunity to do so b/c happiness is a long term goal and I feel that you should be able to love or enjoy whatever you decide to do for the rest of your life!🤩

Totally agree! No point in working 30+ years in an industry/job you hate , sacrificing your happiness & freedom only to retire & realize you aren’t young anymore & have other problems that prevent you from doing what you wanted to do for decades.

Having an investment advisor is the best way to go. Based on a direct encounter with a CFP named Betty Sue Blanchard, I can say with certainty that their skills are excellent. She helped raise over $580,000 in 18 months from an initially stagnant portfolio of $150,000

Credit score is not something used in all countries though. In France, they determine if you are eligible to get a loan (e.g., to buy a house) based on the ratio between your salary, your expenses and your savings. Basically, if every month you 'burn' all your money, you're perceived as riskier than someone earning less but consistently making deposits to a saving account. I feel in the US people tend to buy things they don't need with money they don't have... The only times I feel one should need a credit is when buying 'big' things (house, car, etc.). Not for a TV. I’m 26 with over 800 credit score, time was put into that to build it up by *VRI TOKEN*

Every person nay saying is just trying to keep you out of the game. If you let them stop you... It's much easier to keep going when you can see the person behind the curtain is a scared kid who can't stand to see someone else get the success they're afraid to go after or lose. The strongest person is the one who has mastered their weaknesses and accepted their fears. Don't be put off by them. Also, please do look critically at the content but make your own decisions about what does and doesn't work for you. I really hope you stay inspired and keep going.

Your knowledge and experience is worth more than gold and really opens people’s eyes that „they can be and do more“ than they think. I had definitely an eye opener today. Finally two people talked as „normal person“ to other normal people to show us that we don‘t need to be super smart or super rich, to achieve financial freedom and success. Thanks that this video popped up on my feed last week and now I watched it without interruptions. I even paused the video that I was editing just to witness this conversation. This is so freaking good! within 3 minutes I immediately stroke that Subscribe button. There are so many key takeaways from this video. Codie is such an exceptional person and so brave, and this is the first time I heard about her. Kevin is a really good podcaster and host. I love his voice. The guest and the host are both fascinating. We can learn so many things from this episode. Here are some that I took note of: - *Codie Sanchez:* I think every human on the planet should understand the language of money which is finance. And if you understand the language then you can speak it fluently, and when you can speak it fluently, you can become an expert in an expertise that leads to a bunch of *cash.* On the mountain hike: What if I had done that thing I am scared of just because everybody else told me hat I should have done it and I felt like it took more courage for me to NOT do the thing than do the thing. I think sometimes you know everything you want is on the other side of fear and it's like if the thing that you want is the thing on the other side of fear, it's not every fear we have to charge into and so I guess choose your mountain wisely. (it's like choose your battle wisely.)
