As a Desert Storm veteran, I can relate to this song as I have held my demons for 26 years thus far with a daily wait for peace to set itself upon me. the result of a declining social climate hits me hard, as my father who passed recently once told me I use my experience in the war as a cop-out to life, when in reality it has been my experience with the VA hospital not caring about the pain I suffer that has led to my longing for an end. luckily I never turned to drugs and alcohol to subdue my demons, keeping my head straight and keeping me around to help my daughters and granddaughters in the struggles they will face in this world..This guy is quite refreshing, thanks Tom.

I had two years of sobriety under my belt when I thought id be able to have 1 beer, and as Tom stated, it just got worse. 15 years later, I became a paraplegic, who uses a wheelchair now daily as I am T-9 complete para. On February 11th, in a few days, I will be 4 years sober. Its not easy. Tom, THANK YOU for sharing your music. Cheers 🇨🇦
