That’s why she looks so stuck when she gets a question she wasn’t expecting, she wasn’t told in advanced what the answer should be. The goal for her, and the people around her, is just to make more money and more influence. Same with Sunak, same with Braverman, same with all of them. If there were more money to be made in saying the world is flat and its being covered up by lefty lawyers, they’d say that instead. No principles, no morals, just money and self interest.

In Poland in 2021 we have to pay over 50% and even 100%. Imagine paying 500 gbp monthly and suddenly 800 gbp monthly. Our government made a lot mistakes but it was higher everywhere. They could better react that time so it will be less harm but still inflation etc

Her defense is inaccurate, but it would be a good defence if true. If the same extremely sharp jump in mortgage rates had happened in Germany in October 2022 she would have a legitimate point that it probably wasn't her fault, but a symptom of another external factor. It didn't and she was at fault, but mortgage rates in Germany are relevant to the discussion.
