Australia is SO strict on any form of animal abuse. A lady went to jail for doing something (that I’m not going to say) to a fish. Animal abuse isn’t delt with fines but with prison time.

i was sitting next to my cat for the first half of the video. The day she came home, i found out my mom lured her in with a taco. She had her baby hair still and she looked like a sprite. She was too young but I had a mom cat anyway that took her in. I watched her grow up and become so beautiful, i can’t believe people would hurt these babies. Animals are babies.

I saw that kitten video YEARS ago on accident on myspace. I had no idea what it was going to be about because i was a young, naive teenager. That video has forever scarred me for life. I threw up after i saw it, i was bawling and i had so much hatred for that woman. This is why i am in the veterinary field. To make sure companion animals can have the best quality of life possible. ❤

I adopted my cat for free off of a local sellers website. I was asked why I was interested and explained that we wanted to get my roommates cat a friend. He's a cow cat, his name is Mochi and he is the sweetest lil guy ever. He even waits patently when trimming his claws and bath time. He loves following me around and snuggling me in bed. People mistreating their pets already makes my skin crawl. The torture is disgusting.

I consider myself a very tough and stoic person when it comes to hard times - illness, death, etc. This, though, had me crying from the electrical box. I have an elderly cat, who is 18 years old or so (she is a former stray I adopted when she came to the shelter under the TNR program running in my former home city. Her name is Nancy, and boy is she a Nancy Pants). I adopted her about 17 years ago because a bunch of people were adopting these tiny kittens, and I felt sorry no one would take the full grown cat. She wasn't full grown, just a month or two older than the other kittens, and huge. She grew bigger than I could easily carry. She is incredibly loyal. Through the seventeen years I have had her, I've been forced to move, sometimes up and down, hundreds of miles, in my state, and she has never run off. Once, when I had a seizure and the ambulance took me away, she snuck into my moms car when she ran back inside to grab her purse (she had already opened her car door) so when my mom took me home that night, she crawled into my lap and I pet her as she purred and we both fell asleep on the way home. Yes, the video, but also the reason this hit me so hard is... She is 17, 18 yo. I don't know how much time I have left with her. This vid, it made me so, so angry at these - well, they aren't people; to be human, you have to be humane - but these, these *predators* , especially the mention of the video involving the child, practically entrapping their mind, their soul, to this sick action, and memories, for the rest of their life - it made me so angry I wanted to pick up my phone and throw it away. And that's what we should do to people, especially ones the US has a say over, like that Texas couple - and throw them away in a deep, dark hole and never let them out. For further reading about cat torturers/killers getting caught but not getting their due, Google 'San Diego North County Cat Killer'. They still haven't found all the bodies.

The last part of the video truly made me cry. It's so sweet what the students did for the cat. Honestly, it's so sad & rage-inducing that those people would hurt such innocent little adorable beings. Even if someone wanted to vent out their anger or stress, it doesn't make it right to hurt a cat or any other beings. They can literally do other things to vent like tell someone about it, seek help, draw, sing, scream at the beach, swim, do hobbies, scribble a paper, etc. Heck, they can even go punch a pillow if they wanted to, just don't hurt cats or other living beings. those people are true sociopaths... they fit nearly every criteria: 1. Ignoring right and wrong. 2. Telling lies to take advantage of others. 3. Not being sensitive to or respectful of others. 4. Using charm or wit to manipulate others for personal gain or pleasure. 5. Having a sense of superiority and being extremely opinionated. 6. Having problems with the law, including criminal behavior. 7. Being hostile, aggressive, violent or threatening to others. 8. Feeling no guilt about harming others. 9. Doing dangerous things with no regard for the safety of self or others. 10. Being irresponsible and failing to fulfill work or financial responsibilities. 11. Aggression toward people and animals. 12. Destruction of property. 13. Theft. 14. Disregard for violation of rules.

As someone that lives in GA, that is very quite concerning to our safety. Animals are living breathing beings that also have emotions and hearts to one another, not just something to toy around and use for abuse and pleasurement. This year have been hell, but I still have high hopes for justice. Please love and protect your pets.

We're all cat people in my family and every gathering we talk about how sweet and kind our cats are. How they can sense you're not feeling well and will lay near the area that's hurting. My mid 20ies were tough, I did the bare minimum and the rest of time laid in bed doing nothing at all. My cat would pounce around and call me to play every day - I don't know if I would have made it through without her, I never told anyone I'm struggling. She's in my lap right now, still taking care of me when I get sad.

we had somebody post one of these videos into a facebook group. i wont describe the video aside from that it was of a small kitten and that the person had it on a leash so it couldnt get away. the caption was something along the lines of "who would do this?" and that's it, no warnings, no source. clearly just meant to draw attention and upset anybody who watched it. it's been like four years and i still cant unsee it. it was taken down by an admin asap but not before several people saw it and one chick laugh reacted to it. both the poster and the laugh react girl were booted from the group but if there was any justice in the world, they would have faced some actual, tangible consequences

I saw a puppy be crushed by a heel. 😭😭😭😭 Same website would show people being beheaded and blown up. I remember being in so much shock over my friends shoulder I froze, eyes glued to the screen with tears running down my face. It scared me enough that i stayed off the internet for a few more years of my young mind life. This was back in like 2004-2005 😭

The cat blender video went viral in my school a year ago and considering that a bunch of young kids from ages 11-16 got to see that is really heartbreaking

As someone who went to university in China I can say quite a lot of students have this “hobby” and they don’t consider animals as live organisms on Earth. Even though in recent years there are more and more voices requesting animal protection laws (that literally not exist in China) to be more strict people minds seem to never change. Animals are indeed treated poorly in much higher rate compare to other countries where i lived till this day. Having pet in China is mortifying. While ordering pet food online most of vendors remove information what is inside from the parcel. Because there are plenty of people who use suringe to inject poison through the box to pet food and there were cases of death. You can easily check it by yourself by contacting any major pet food selling store on taobao.

2 ( or more ) weeks ago, I saw a leaked video and photos of cats being tortured. Normally as a person who's emotionally attached to her 2 cats, I had a full mental breakdown and almost vomited. it was so bad. It might make me look soft, but I think it's a trauma because I lost my appetite for days and my brain is doing its best to make me forget the details. I'm so happy that a case like this is covered by a well-known person. Thank you so much, Stephanie. You're a wonderful person. I'm happy that I know you.

I have a 4 (almost 5) month old kitten and I love her to death. I can’t imagine a day without her. She’s my world now. I knew I wouldn’t be able to watch this video so I just played it in the background while I shopped online. I didn’t hear most parts but definitely heard the last few parts. I bawled hard at the last few minutes. The college students were the sweetest. The messages they wrote below each cat had me bawling the hardest because I have lost a cat too and it was one of the hardest thing that has ever happened to me. I miss him very much especially today. I only had him for about 3 months after I adopted him. He got really sick and passed away while getting treated. I hope he’s having the best time wherever he is. I love you so much. Recently I had a dream where I had to leave for college and couldn’t bring my kitten with me I was crying so much in my dream and when I opened my eyes I was also actually crying irl. My cat is everything to me. I can’t bear to think anything happening to her. I’d go mad. After I watched this video I held my cat and cried another round. But she doesn’t really like being picked so I got only a few seconds of comfort from her. But nevertheless I feel better now. My family also has 8 other cats. 4 orange cats, 2 black cats and 2 tabby cats. We also have two dogs. All adopted. They live with my family at their farm. And we love them so much.

I thought I wouldn't be able to watch the whole video, but Stephanie talked about it with such care and compassion that, although what was being described was utterly horrible and disgusting, it still didn't make me feel completely hopeless for human beings. For example, when she was talking about the incredibly tough job of those activists who had to sit through hours upon hours of footage watching it frame by frame just so they could have something to identify the perpetrators. I'm extremely thankful for those people that have literally sacrificed their mental health to try and get justice for those poor babies. I'm also thankful for Stephanie for talking about such hard topics, giving them the rightful importance, so that maybe laws and regulations could change some day. I hope those sweet souls can be at peace wherever they are, and for the perpetrators I wish nothing but to suffer x1000 times what they forced those animals to go through.

I’m gonna tell you about my cats. I would love if you replied to this comment telling me all about yours. After this… I just want to hear people talk about how much they love their cats. Rosie is a seven year old brown tabby who is teeny tiny for her age. Everyone confuses her for a kitten. She has a soft purr, and purrs often. She is the definition of a lap cat. She is always looking for a lap to curl up in. Sometimes when I’m laying on my side in bed she will come and lay on my arm, so that I can wrap my other arm around her, and we cuddle and take a nap together. She licks the tips of your fingers all the time. She’s a string fanatic and tolerates our other cat. If you talk to her she will meow back at you like you’re having a conversation. She’s the sweetest ever. She begs for human food, but only weirdly specific foods. She loves potato chips, Cheetos, string cheese, and freshly baked bread. She also will try to lick your earbuds clean when you take them out. Gross Rosie. We love you anyway. Koa has these beautiful gold eyes and is huge. He’s a year and a half old grey tabby. He sheds like crazy. He loves woven baskets and completely ignores the cat beds for them. His prey drive is absolutely crazy- he tries to fight the snowflakes falling past the windows. But for some reason he has no interest in bothering my betta fish. Koa is very wishy-washy with his affection. He wants it SO BAD and sometimes as soon as you touch him he’s like “actually no thank you” and runs away, and sometimes he rolls over and over and purrs this massively loud purr. His tail is so weird and typically lays flat on his back, like running up his spine. We think it may have been broken before he was taken into the shelter, cause no cat has tail mobility like that. He’s so so soft. He’s equally at home with strangers as he is with household family. His tail poofs up when he’s excited, not just when he’s scared. He loves riding in our wagon. He follows Rosie around like she’s the coolest big sister ever. Keep your cats safe out there. They love you.

I've seen one of these videos before. UKpostsr Channon Rose has always been very open about her time in the industry, but back when she was at her biggest it came out that she made these videos (soft category) in the past. She denied this, but some folk uploaded these videos to UKposts completely uncensored. The particular video I saw, she was wearing large, dancer-style stiletto boots, and it was a scorpion she crushed. As a fan of hers at the time it was pretty alarming to see, and I stopped watching her content soon after when her first daughter was born (since I'd been watching her fertility journey). She's pretty irrelevant now, but it's still one of those things that I'm surprised nobody mentions anymore.

*WARNING: GRAPHIC* There’s something very disturbing that I’ve never seen ANYONE talk about. Back in 2020/2021 there was an audio that was trending like crazy on tiktok and instagram. On the surface, it sounded just like a silly sound of a dog yelping, and you would see people use it to make innocent memes and videos. I’m 10000% certain that anyone reading this comment has heard it at least ONCE. It was one of the most popular audios for a while, usually accompanied by a wheezing laugh or other audios. The moment I heard it, I immediately recognized it from the high heel video. I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the full video of the woman crushing those animals with her stiletto when I was younger. My body had a physical reaction hearing that sound all these years later. I’m still shocked that the audio continues to trend without anyone knowing where it really came from. It is unmistakable, and the audio continues to pop up TO THIS DAY!! I hope this reaches someone who had the same experience of recognizing the audio. I felt crazy when I first heard it, but it’s unmistakable.

I'm a veterinary assistant...I watch every single video of yours Stephanie, but seeing the title of this one, I think it's the first that I just can't bring myself to watch...going to sit this one out and hold my dear cats close 😞❤️

i can handle every video that the rotten mango channel posts from beginning to end even tho i often end up feeling disgusted, shocked and saddened after i have listened to and watched them covering horrible criminal cases… but i am only 3 minutes 30 seconds in and i already know i wont be able to continue further into this specific video discussing cats being tortured. i am very grateful that you talk about these topics even tho i’ll unfortunately have to skip this one. it’s great that you guys spread information so even more people can become aware of these cases!

Why would the shelter not be a little more extensive with adoption process? That’s very suspicious if someone just keeps “adopting” animals. Or have a limit or something? Some shelters are slightly opposed to adoption if you already have pets even, let alone to someone that has been there multiple times
