I might be late, but I just love how every spacecraft or rovers we make by our own hands seem to have an independent life of their own on a different planet. Although, yes, they're technically not alive, and we're technically controlling them, just the technology they have gives them life and makes me so grateful to have lived in this moment in time.

why do I feel an emotional connection towards these rovers they look so nice but are completely alone lol

I could listen to this lady's voice forever. Another brilliant success. Perseverance, the largest and most sophisticated rover yet landed flawlessly on Mars, carrying a helicopter. Humans can do such wonderful things when they put their minds to it.

Imagine: You're working at a penny manufacturing facility in 1909, inspecting a penny that was just created, having no idea that one day this tiny object in your hands will travel millions of miles across the solar system, where no man has ever gone, and arrive safely on a different celestial body, fixed to a giant futuristic machine the size of a car.

Im crying coz we know how they give their best to their work.we are so proud for all who work hard for this.

If not the best, this is at least one of the best documentaries on mars.

This is a truly astonishing presentation! The graphics and detail take the viewer right down onto the surface and the timeline reveals the remarkable technologies that have been installed in this spacecraft. This is as close to an actual visit to Mars as can be imagined. Well done, indeed!

The auto captions was super accurate, due to how smoothly this narrator speaks. Amazing.

Wow, it is heartwarming to see crew crying of the safe landing, they worked very hard.

This is a testament to the fact that when we as human set out to reach out to greatness and goodness the sky is the limit!

I really really enjoyed this video It was so full of info i didnt know about or very little & after viewing this, i feel as if many gaps in my knowledge of Mars have been greatly filled. Curiosity is my favourite rover, it seemed to take on a kind of personality in a wierd way & its images & photos are by far better than those of Perserverance. Im so gobsmacked by those utterly marvellous scientists who created my fave rover, all the things it does with precision & ability all the way on the Martian surface all possible by some extraordinary men & women who had the intelligence & special gift to think outside the Earths environs & created Curi to behave & operate in exactly the way these fantastic scientists were able visualise. Also it was touching to mention the math/engineer/ genius, Jake? His name? Who died more or less right after Curi landed successfully, he lived to see his teams creation land on Mars I shall sub this channel because i loved this whole vid !

This is fantastic! Really makes a great travelogue of Team Curiousity's journey and discoveries. This seems to have gone up through 2016. I would love to see the sequel to this that takes us up through more recent time (e.g., through at least 2019).

One of the best video clips I've seen of Mars, a desolate lonely place, the rover works alone without any interference from anybody only remotely controlled by it's masters from Earth. How do they take photos of the rover at a distance 50:04

I was 9 when NASA put men on the moon, but as a 9 year old you can't understand the effort involved to accomplish that. When NASA put this rover on the surface with a simple 30 step process :) I was amazed, and then last year when the JWST unfurled and set up in a simple 300 step process I was reminded once again of the talent that NASA possess. .... here's hoping that the Titan Octo-copter will fair just as well when it is it's turn to shine - and I'm sure it will.

I couldn't help thinking in billions of years later, our beloved earth could very well be like today's Mars.

What a wonderful scientific subject. I humbly thank you for your ability to reach this planet with detaled and miniaturized tecnology. This precision is worthy of reference for these cientists. I am touched and touched by the knowledge that the future of humans beings is science. CONGRATULATIONS TO NASA.

Truly, truly astonishing. As of today 15/02/21 the Rover has been wandering over the Martian landscape for 8 1/2 years ! And it will soon hopefully be joined by it's younger cousin 'Perseverance'. I cannot express enough my admiration for the thousands of scientists, technologists and all those involved in getting this amazing technological fete accomplished. And it just keeps going and going and going ! My only sadness is reflecting on what more could humans acheive if there were more harmony in the world ? Unfortunately much of our population is unable to participate in the advancement of humanity because of political, ideological and religious beliefs that present them from embracing education, secularism and tolerance of others. If we could only deal with these and have everyone embracing these achievements and work together to move forward what could we not achieve in the future ?

Let us all take a moment to thank the cameraman for his hard work and sacrifice.
