Brian Greene explains the basic idea of String Theory in under 3 minutes. Thirty-five years ago string theory took physics by storm, promising the coveted unified theory of nature’s forces that Einstein valiantly sought but never found. In the intervening decades, string theory has brought a collection of mind-boggling possibilities into the lexicon of mainstream thinking-extra dimensions of space, holographic worlds, and multiple universes. Some researchers view these developments as symptoms of string theory having lost its way. Others argue that string theory, although very much still a work in progress, is revealing stunning new qualities of reality. Join leading minds in theoretical physics for a whirlwind ride through the twists and turns of string theory-its past, its future, and what it tells us about the search for the universe’s final theory.

Isn't it about the only way we can go. Everything is energy and the energy has to be manifested in some way. It may not be correct the way it is put up but currently in my opinion it has to be something like that. They find that photons (electromagnetic waves) are energy carrying waves but how? They find that electrons are energy carrying waves but again how? I don't think that there are any particles at all at that scale. We know that things appear solid when we touch it but we also know that it is build up of molecules that doesn't exactly fill up all the space. That doesn't appear to worry us. We know that molecules are made of atoms and there again even more space is empty and we don't complain. We know that again even more space again is empty between the particles that we think are there in the atom. Does it worry us? No we accept it all as a material. Why should it then worry that the smallest of what we call particles are not solid but some fluctuations of energy. The question is just how is that fluctuation build up?

@@tonyli8703 Elaborate please. I am not disputing your statement at all but I am very interested in this. What is debunked and who approved what is debunked? If it is the string theory then I don't think it was a theory anyway but a hypothesis. I don't think that anything on that scale is proven or disproven as yet. If so please tell me what is energy, what is an electric field and what is a magnetic field. I don't mean how we measure it and how it shows up but what it actually is. What is it that is actually coming out from a positive or negative charge and what is it that is going between the North and the South poles on a magnet. That must be some manifestation of energy. .

Tesla was no physicist. He disagreed with the theory of atoms being composed of smaller subatomic particles, stating there was no such thing as an electron creating an electric charge. He believed that atoms could not change state or be split in any way. He was a believer in the 19th-century concept of an all-pervasive ether that transmitted electrical energy.

You have just mentioned something mentioned in the Quraan without probably reading the Quraan: "And by the woven/threaded sky, you are in dispute."[51:7,8] Allah swears in the Quraan by the woven sky, woven meaning formed of threads. It's very mind-shattering seeing a great scientifical title that actually supports string theory since 1400+ years.
