I know people who do it with brand name clothes and makeup. When I worked in retail we would have people walk in, fill up garbage bags with merchandise and just book it out of the store. They rarely got caught. When I was an addict I was too nervous too. I would rather be sick at home than sick in jail.

Here's an idea, never do anything that could result in your Miranda rights being read to you! Yes, anything you say "can and will" be used against you in a court of law?? If you've done something illegal, do not say anything incriminating to police? You have the "right to remain silent", what's so hard to understand about that?
