I used to watch this trailer as a kid, because I wanted a Wii U just for 3d world because I thought the cat power-up was so cool. I never did get a Wii U or 3d world, but I did get a switch in 2018 and a year and half ago when I saw that Mario 3d world plus a whole new little side game was coming to switch, I preordered as soon as I can and honestly, young me would be overjoyed to know that I finally got to play the game of my dreams

I remember being so devastated that THIS was the next 3D Mario game in the series. The trailer was horrible. However, the actual game became one of my favorite Mario games in the series.

Watching this now makes me realize how much work was put into this... The game came out in November 2013, and this trailer was released in June(I think). The full game ended up being so good! Comparing the trailer and the game, the music turned out much better, some sounds changed, the character's sounds were replaced with other sounds, and best of all, the game was so much prettier! The graphics were outstanding! I loved this game so much.

I was hyped for this game since this trailer. I love Super Mario 3D World; it's a realization of my childhood dream of having a 3D Mario on a home console with elements from the 2D games.

Seeing this next to Odyssey... Creativity-wise, the 3D Land/World games were really just playing it safe. Glad to see Nintendo taking some creative risks again :)

I will never regret the time I played this on the Wii U. The experience was both fun and lovely. The music of jazz and orchestra is perfect, and the gameplay is not broken at all. A wonderful tribute to the series as a 3D form

I just wanted to point out the difference between the trailer version and the final version of SM3DW For one the overworld theme seems to have the sax play longer than the final version At 0:27 the powerup sound was different from the final version At 0:47 The speed panel (or whatever it's called) had a different sound 1:27 Hisstocrat seems to have a darker skin texture then the final version 1:35 The final version doesn't include you a 1up when you get to the top of the flagpole. This was probably removed due to the cat suit making it easier to reach the top of the flagpole

This was the first game I played on my Wii U, I saw the trailer and knew I needed it, but wow the final product was much more refined with better textures, lighting, SFX, etc. than this trailer. I’m here from 2019 and I’m so happy that 3D World is a style in SUPER MARIO MAKER 2!

Super mario 3d world you really have come a long way after an unfortunate inception on the wii u, you were greeted with alot of unwarranted hate prior to coming out, raging fan boys continued to hate on you to this day and finally you are getting your chance to show a wider audience on switch just how much fun to play you really were. The only thing I didn't like about this game was the fact that the meow at the end of this trailer never made the final game. It's just so cute. No matter what people say about this game 3d world will always be a masterpiece in my eyes next to 64, sunshine, the galaxy games and odyssey.

This is false advertising, it's impossible to co-operate that well in the final game.

I remember my experience watching this trailer for the very first time, on the day that it was released! I was 12 years old and approaching the end of my 5th grade year. Having played and enjoyed Super Mario 3D Land, I was so excited when a sequel was announced in the form of 3D World! Since then, I’ve made it a tradition to return to this trailer on every June 11th, each time a year older. Now, as a 22-year-old college senior, it seems unfathomable to realize that ten years have passed, especially in regard to a game as outstanding and timeless as Super Mario 3D World! 😸

I remember being so disappointed when this game was revealed back in 2013. Not only did it become one of my favorite Mario games, but I'm fully intending to double dip when Bowser's Fury drops in a few weeks. Moral of the story: Always play a game before deciding on your opinion.

I always wanted this game and a WiiU but back in the day my parents never saw it as a necessity since i had xbox 360 but once i got my first job at Whataburger back in 2015 the first thing i bought with my very first paycheck was a Used but newish WiiU with Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 8 and of course one to play with my boss from whataburger, which she turned into my best friend for a couple of years, Super Smash Bros and i even started buying Amiibos and controllers back when Walmart sold them and tried to get rid of a bunch of Nintendo Merch. Ahhh back in the good old days also i was super into DashieGames, Still am, and wanted Captain Toad Zombie U and bunch of other great games ahhh what a time

When I was 10 this trailer amazed me, the transparent pipes, the music, the scenary and Cat Mario, I thought it was fantastic and it was the future of Mario games.

Man, seeing this trailer after the trailer for Super Mario Odyssey just makes this game seem so underwhelming. I love Super Mario 3D World because of the creative level design, great music, multiple playable characters, and power ups but if we would've seen Super Mario Odyssey or a Mario game like that in 2013, I think the Wii U would've sold WAY more. 3D World isn't bad, it just played it too safe for the most part.

I randomly remembered watching this video over and over on one of if not the very first Android phone I owned around the time the trailer was released, it's been a while and I haven't been able to get a Switch to play the bigger, Bowser's Fury version but some day I will, a very cool trailer in my opinion.

I wish they went with the voice clips Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad for the final version, I liked that more imo
