Literally all the EA team had to do to stay on top was continue building on what the prior sims game gave us. It’s sad to see the nearing end of this beloved franchise but it’s definitely time for a new and completely different spin on life simulation. I’m excited to explore them regardless!

Paralives and Inzoi have REALLY got my attention.

I’m not sure I like how everything focuses so much on realistic humans and following 1 character everywhere with no rabbit holes whatsoever. I quite enjoy having multiple sims in my family and I feel like I’d be exhausted if all of them had active careers/school. If it’s open world that might entail a lot of lag while you zoom around the world and if it’s loading screen that means lack of control.

I like realisim in my sims, yet I find myself really drawn to the art style in Paralives. Sure, they're cartoony, but they're comic book realistic cartoony if that makes any sense. The style reminds me of the style in Wolf Among Us or The Walking Dead. I'm looking forward to Paralives more than any of the others (though I hope they're all successful and make EA scramble to put out a good game for a change instead of sitting on its laurels). I think Inzoi will be full of microtransactions, but I suspect Sims 5 will, too, & LBY will have a ton of DLC because it's Paradox. Don't know enough about the people at Paralives to predict how they plan to make their money. What I really want is the best of Sims 2 merged with the best parts of Sims 3 (open world & color wheel for certain) and the building ease of Sims 4.

Paralives is the only one I really really want. I will certainly try the others most likely. But Paralives has my heart. Alex is a true lifesim lover and I hope his passion project makes it to the finish.

So stoked to try Seed this weekend, that will really be interesting! But as far as which games I'm most excited for, I'm in complete agreement with Satch; LBY, Inzoi then Paralives. I REALLY want to be most excited for TS5 but, firstly, I haven't seen enough yet, and secondly, it has endless potential to crush the competition, I'm just terrified that EA is going to completely blow it and we'll be left with nothing but the smoking ashes of what once was an iconic, innovative and fun franchise.

I like Life By You, but I hope they work on their character's faces. The faces look kind of weird. I'm excited to see more about Inzoi looks really interesting.

For me I'm most excited for Life by You, then InZoi and finally Paralives. I wish we would get more information on Paralives, at this point by the time it comes out LBY and InZoi will be offering the same special features plus more

I think I’m most exited for paralives and inzoi. I love the paralives team and the way they listen to their audience and supporters, Alex love for simulation games is truly felt in the entirety of the game. The art style also looks pretty cute to me and will definitely lead to a cozy game experience. On the other hand I’m rlly excited for inzoi because it just looks so realistic, clean and futuristic. I don’t know much about actually playing because honestly open jobs sound horrible to be. What if I want my person to have an office job but don’t want to sit and look at them be on a computer the whole time? Anyway I’m most excited for creating cute characters in the game

I'll definitely get LBY and Paralives. Inzoi depends on the degree of microtransactions/greediness. Been reading up and the publisher looks a bit to EA-like when it comes to greed, tbh.

LIFE BY YOU is the most stable out of all them. It's made by PARADOX or maybe published. Studio of Cities Skylines, Stellaris, etc. Yeah paradox can be crazy about the DLCs😅. But not as worse as EA. cities skylines total DLCs+base game is like around $200 or something. I forgot. And remember. That game absolutely mods-friendly. Like u can make your own RPG world thing 😅. Edit: Paralives looking like cartoonish. But indeed cozy. Semirealistic western cartoon world kinda thingy. And since this is a new studio, soo no one can expect how it will turn. Inzoi even though look realistic, but that means you need hispec PC. 😅. And usually, flashy shiny graphics tend to be bad in the game mechanism and story and stuff. They mainly just selling the appearances especially selling the girls😅.

I just realized that I miss one gameplay element that none of the life simulations seems to have so far. I want to only be able to fully control one person. I want my love interest or husband /wife to be able to make their own decisions like cheating or being a bit too attached -according to their traits. Like catching them with another person. I want my friends to stop by, to move on in life as well. To lose their job and suddenly look ugly, break their leg, ask me to mobe in for a couple of days eetc. I want my kids to steal from me or have a study crisis in school. To suddenly dress differently. I want my boss to suddenly fire me if I come late to work etc. Like I would like more autonomy of all my surrounding „sims“ and really just focus on micromanaging one person. But the auto-decisions of the persons around me should actually challenge my style of gameplay. That I would love.

I’m excited for The Sims stuff to go on sale when everyone leaves😂 I’m a core The Sims fan since the og . I’ve played many other simulation games and loved them! Such as imvu , kudos, and indie games. It doesn’t take away from the experience of those games. Everything isn’t a Sims comparison. These games have the potential of success in their own right!

I'm the most excited by Life By You, it feels like it'll have a lot of depth and a lot of modding possibilities. I'm also excited for Paralives though it's harder to feel that excitement since it has no release date yet. Inzoi, I'm interested in but I'm not totally convinced by it just yet. There's a lot of question marks hanging over it for me. I think it's great that we have Tiny Life too (it really gives me open world sims 1 vibes) but tbh I think my interest in it has gone down ever since Life By You was announced. Back when I first heard about Tiny Life all we knew was that Paralives was coming at some point so it felt more appealing as something that we could play pretty soon but knowing LBY is coming soon kind of took the wind out of Tiny Life for me. To be honest Vivaland feels to me like it's going to get outclassed by all of the other life sim games. I don't get the sense that there's anything it's doing that will make it stand out, even Inzoi is going to have multiplayer at some point. I'm also not a fan of it not having an open world, it kinda reminds me too much of The Sims 4 in some ways. I also worry the emphasis on multiplayer will mean the single player is lacking.

I think I'm most excited about the art style of Paralives because it feels new and fresh and distinctly different. I'm most excited about the gameplay of Life By You mainly because it's the only game that has released much in the way of what gameplay will include.

For me, Life By You and inZoi are the two I’m most interested in mainly bc 1. Life By You being developed by a larger publisher will mean we’ll get a much quicker response on any problems. inZoi is a small company and probably doesn’t have the resources to deal with bugs quickly like Paradox. 2. On the other hand, I like inZoi bc as someone of Asian descent, I’ve never had a life sim where I can make an Asian character without custom content. 😁

Once Paralives and life by you comes out I’m abandoning the sims (well I stopped playing sims 4 4 years ago.) Except for sims 2-3 those are my beloveds

I don’t care about any of these games beating out the sims franchise, I just want to have more variety in the life simulation genre. Out of all of them tho, LBY seems the most ambitious and promising. I’m not really holding my breath on Inzoi because I’m not really feeling the Korean aesthetic and it’s going to take a beast of a rig to run it, that much I can tell. I have a pretty decent set up, but I think it blow my laptop trying to run it…lol. There’s a reason why the laptop’s Inzoi was running had high hardware specs.

Paralives and Life By You will most likely have a beta release next year, Inzoi is still in early developement, I don't expect a beta until 2025. Sims 5/Renee is still years away, I'd guess 2026. Rushing it will only make it fail, remember Sims4 was rushed.

Inzoi seems to be lagging even in the trailer like when the firefighters put out a fire. Or is it on purpose? Is this how they animated things? Idk… I’m actually excited about that one and if their AI can mimic your iconic laugh, that’d be both scary and brilliant!

I’m so excited about Life by You. I love the quest creator and trait creators and stuff. I love how it makes modding so accessible. I mean the graphics aren’t the best, it’s true. But it’s better than The Sims 3 which is what I’m currently playing so I’ll take it 😂.

I'm excited about all of these life sims! They all look like they're appealing to all types of simmers! Paralives is for the sims 2 & 4 fans! Life by you is for the sims 3 crowd and inzoi is for the gta-sims-role play crowd! It's just nice to finally get some options & hopefully, get ea out of cruise control! And I'm with you on this being possible now because of the cozy game craze! Thanks to new horizons, companies are now seeing a viable market for these games and as someone who grew up on Barbie-point click-simple games it makes me very happy to see such gamers finally get thier due!

In Paralives, the characters have a cartoonish vibe, while the environment have an aquarelle vibe. Interesting aesthetics. In Life By You, the graphics quality seems to have been reduced in order to have better performance. InZoi is VERY realistic. Maybe a little to much. It'll probably require rather high specs computers to properly run. The Sims5 seems to still be in pre-alpha stage. Wait and see... Maybe in 2026 or 2027 for the initial pre-release... Tiny Life... A blast from the past with 8 bits graphics, liberating all the processing power to actually run the simulation.

There’s a simulation game called ‘The Universim’, I played it a long time ago, you basically play god, influencing the lives of the people on your planet. I think it’s probably had a lot of updates and refinement since then. Maybe take a look 😳🥵🤪

Life By You moves to the bottom of my list based on the Cities: Skylines II release. It was drastically unfinished, seemingly untested, and now they''ve altered their DLC schedule and modding capabilities to work on the broken game. I hope the other developers take note.

Def most excited for Inzoi and Paralives! I feel like I'd prob play both and maybe still venture into TS4 every now and then. I don't plan on buying into TS5. Feels like it will prob be really focused on buying everything kind of like TS4 is now but even more so. I'm excited to be able to do more customizing and hope Inzoi allows for mods and CC!

Life By You is my favorite, but it depends heavily on the modding community. If a lot of talented modders flock to it - and it certainly seems to be the most moddable game I have ever seen of any genre - it could have almost unlimited potential. InZOI is super pretty, but is it prettier than the best CC we have in Sims 4? Not by much, I'd say. If LBY lets those talents in and the others don't, it could take off like wildfire. If not, it will probably be somewhat niche. "The Sims but for guys" or something.

I like more life be you because you can create more history and challenge inside the game with out mods and the no censure is also something new create conversation etc, i hope they change how the characters looks but definitely with mod can look much better and paralife is more kid friendly but i wanna play too

Hello mate, we Love watching your videos, me and my partner are wondering, how comes you haven't done a jungle adventure review?? 😢

The choice will be great to have, after all of this time. I have mixed feelings about all of the games, but I do hope they're all good when released because The Sims franchise does need some competition to be reminded that players will now have options and won't take as much crap any more. Apologies for the incoming essay; I'm passionate about it XD .. I'm not a big fan of the ParaLives art style and I'm a little concerned that it sounds like it could be a smidge too small (village-like), but I'm rooting for it and it's so cute! With LifeByYou, I'm intrigued by it because of the backing it has and the scope, but it looked like it may be too much like City Skylines in a management sense and I'm not sure about the art style. I've only just seen inZoi and I'm amazed by the realism, especially as it's only been in the works for a year, but it's obviously heavily Korean and that may limit diversity and gameplay for the global market unless they expand that (which they may be doing behind the scenes), and I'm not keen on having AI in games. Regardless, I'll be watching Let's Plays of all of them, when they come out. .. I'm really hoping The Sims 5 will redeem The Sims' team/franchise because it's become so much about money-grabbing, to the point of leaving somewhat basic things out of Expansion/Game Packs to bring in Stuff Packs and Kits or needing to add countless updates because things have been left out (toddlers, anyone?). I've been frustrated that good things from the previous games have been left out of this one - eg. elevators in build mode, spiral staircases, building your own apartments (pre-For Rent), no loading screens between apartments when they're on the same lot, cuddling in bed, easier photo storytelling with photo albums per household [not one per save file!], photo albums where you can rearrange the ohoto order (my TS$ one jumps out of consecutive order sometimes and can't be fixed), photo albums with longer caption capacity for those among us who are storytellers and need to document the storyline properly to have any longevity with our Sims families, etc. I am worried about them using something similar to The Sims 3 model of buying packs, but also having certain items behind a paywall with in-game purchases on top of the packs. I don't think any of these new games will "kill" The Sims franchise, as so many of us have been playing for decades now, but I do think The Sims team have to be very careful about listening to what players have been begging for over the years and not leaving anything simple out any more. They'll lose players if they keep focusing on making obscene profits over a workable, playable, replayable game that the majority of players love even without mods (though I hope they keep it mod-friendly!). I hope it will be more mature though - not "inappropriate", but for older teens and adults, as we're the main player-base and we're the ones who buy the game and packs, most of us having grown up with at least one of the previous Sims games (or, in our case, all of them). I do love TS4, but I agree that it feels like it may have been created to appeal to a younger audience than the age of the primary players. .. I won't have the money or the gaming system to play them all, if/when they are released, but I'm excited for the opportunities this will bring for Life Sim gamers who love The Sims, but have been disappointed by it being their only option when it became more about money than the players. It won't happen, as they've said it will be free to download (which is suspicious because TS4 became free to download, as it is practically unplayable without other packs to enrich the game), but it would be cool if those who have been playing The Sims 4 for 5+ years (by the tims TS5 is released) and/or have 75%+ of the packs should get The Sims 5 base game (or the first DLC/pack) free to show appreciation for the loyalty and money spent. I'd like all of them to do well, but I'm particularly keeping my fingers crossed for ParaLives purely because it's such a tiny team of people who have listened to players and don't have the backing or funds that the big companies have. I know companies need to make profit and the employees should all be paid a decent, fair wage for all of the work they put into the games, but I really hope this expansion of the genre allows for more player-oriented games and not just more companies money-grabbing. .. I think life by you fits the best to the way I like to play the sims. Just creating my own story in every detail. And I feel like I can decide how I want to play the game in every details. It js just exactly what I would like in a life sim.

I'm still more excited to paralives because I love the art style and LYB while the art and graphics is not good I like how modable the game is, inzoi looks good (feels like a pre-bought asset) but I'm going to wait I just don't trust south korean game they are known for full of microtransactions.

I'm most excited for life by you, because they are not making it for little kids. And least excited for nzoi because I heard their company is giving yt creators $5000 PC's as gifts for reviews and I don't trust that.

I was sort of in the Life By You camp because it looked like it had lots of customization and the graphics were passable, but after seeing Inzo I'm a bit torn now as it looks amazing, I'm just a little worried it won't be as mod-able.

I pre-ordered LBY and will maybe try out Paralives if it ever gets done ❤I'm seriously concerned about inzoi's live-mode and the personality of zois, sure the graphics are 👌very pretty but that might be the only thing... we'll see how the development goes for that one.

inzoi is particularly exciting for me because its one of the only games (!!) where american is not the 'default'. like with the sims 4 we have 3 american worlds and the rest are dlc

When you have no friends every multyplayer game is a single player. However, i do have friends that play sims but it would feel so strange playing with them, my online life are completly seporated from my offline life and i dont know how to mix the 2.

I'm realy excited for paralifes - i love the artstyle! But life by you seems awesome too in terms of gameplay. I sadly dont like the look. I want to play in an good looking world otherwise i can't engage with it. Inzoi on the other hand seems to be really beautiful BUT i don't think that my pc could keep up with the grafic standards. A game that looks like paralifes but has the innovations of Life by you and Inzoi would be great. Sims 5... i sadly don't have much hopes on this one.

Definitely leaning toward LBY because Rod Humble was a part of sims2/3. LBY seems to be a marriage of the 2. I am loving the depth of game play it appears to be creating for the players and also the seemingly wide open creativity it will allow the player. While the 'humans' aren't very pretty cc can fix that. And as we've learned from Sims 4, pretty sims do not a game make! I will also try Paralives when it comes out.

LbY will probably be the only one that'll have great long-term playability, because they're the only ones seriously focusing on their target audience and MODDING. All the other studios seem to be going the EA Sims 4 route, catering to the vast majority, normies and children. LbY will most likely have a significant community advantage.

As someone who has played everything the sims since 2006, I'll be so happy to not have EA The Sims in my head when thinking life simulation games. I'll be happy to have a variety of games in that genre in my steam library, the same way I have for farming and for survival/crafting games. This is finally coming guys and I'm very excited. It's been too long since I've enjoyed a life sim that didn't have me taking over my gpa's farm .....again. lol. Seriously though, I'm excited and hope they do well enough to not get abandoned.

There's another life sim, Little Sim World, that is planned to be released on Early Access on Steam next year.

I can’t wait for Life by You! I’m going to buy it upon release in March. I’m a slightly obsessed simmer and just want more life sim options on the market. If Life by You delivers, I’ll probably take a little break from sims. Lord knows I could use a little breather for a year or two while they piece together project renee. If it doesn’t deliver, meh, at least I got a new kind of simming experience. I’ll have fun with my toy for a bit before going back to my favorite - the sims.

I wish a dev would combine the complexity of TS2 with better graphics, better customization and more customizable and complex personality traits. Hell, I would be happy with a medium graphics quality (like WoW, GW2 or SWTOR) as long as we had more customization down to the pixel and more dynamic interpersonal gameplay and events. Just give us a base game that is fun to play without nickel and diming us.

I think I'm most excited for Inzoi, then vivaland and then Seed. I'm hoping if its free (or not too much) I'll give a go at all of the games. But my problem is I do focus quite a bit on art style 😔 (I know, I'm sorry). I'm not excited for Sims 5 at all tbh, Idky, I think as for Sims I'll just keep playing 3 and 4 cause I've got them already

1. Paralilves (cozy, dreamy, artstyle, diverse, adorble) Love Parli, Music and I would buy it on release date! I want it. 2. Sims 5 (eh, I will wait and see first and if I don't like it? I will move on to an another or stay for a while with TS4 and continue to play older titels) LOL 3. LBY (lame title) needs massive improvement! Animations seem to be clunky and not smooth enough! Consistency, I love the custom options but the UI and graphics are for me a NOGo. Without Improvment? I would buy it only on sale. 4. INZOI (love the UI, cool name - at least creative) However Inzoi's are too realistic for my personal taste, Build mode is incredible because it's modern but love the flexibility of the UI in this game. Animations are okayish - still not for me. So far I love the competition and I can't wait to see how we will benefit with them being finally after 84 yrs on the market. 😂😉 I will try Seed, it looks very intriguing! Love the artstyle. 😍 Thank you for introducing us to Seed.

My vote is the same for top 3. Im most excited for inzoi cuz I'm just aware of the quality that Koreans put into everything they do. Especially art. But I doubt my pc can handle that game so I will consume lots of lets plays when it's released.

Satch, you completely missed Little Sims World, set in London. Although it's been 'coming' for several years now, lol, first 2022, then it was 2023, currently it's 2024...maybe?

It’s not random at all. When one game that holds the monopoly fails to deliver, another pops up. Remember the disaster that was SimCity (2013) then soon after, Cities: Skylines?

It’s kind of funny how obsessed the sims community is with graphics all of a sudden. For 10 years we’ve had loading screens in the Sims 4 because some people want to run the game on a potato laptop instead of getting a device that’s actually capable of running a video game AND rendering quality graphics. As long as it’s not hideous, has fun gameplay, offers plenty of content, doesn’t hide half of the game behind hundreds of dollars worth of DLCs, and lets you leave your house without sitting through a loading screen, then that’s good enough for me

Vivaland is so interesting, I’ve always wanted a simulation game where you play as one person and live life with other online people. That way the other “sims” have actual personalities and can say no and invite us to stuff and such. You can tell I’m so tired of sims only ever saying yes to me. Or when sims invite me to an outdoor area when it’s raining or something. The sims 4 is just not very thought out 🥲 A reason a game like this might be tough is if not a lot of people are on, the game would be boring just by yourself. Plus what will ppl do when your character goes to work and such. Just ideas.

I am always going to play the sims bc that's my 1st love, but these other simulation games are very interesting. So i am excited about all of them.

My Top two are Inzoi and Paralives. Life by you looks too complicated for me. I wouldn't want to have to take hours just creating the town/playerbalecharacter and so on. That's actually what I like about the Sims 4 that you have a Gallery and can just pick a house someone build and play Sims that already exist and just find interesting.
