The video with the kids and the fat shaming topic. This was on TikTok a while ago and Tizzy covered it. From what I remember about it: One, they were on a cruise at the time, which explained the lanyards and the fact they were alone without their guardian(s). Two, the wife of the guy confronting them was fat shaming one of the kids. Like, openly fat shaming a child. The kids said something along the lines of "that's not okay" and the guy blew up, so they started recording for their own safety.

Yes, kids should respect teachers, but teachers should not mistreat the students. I do think there are situations where a student should be allowed to stand up for his or her self. One of my girls had a situation at school that caused her to feel unsafe at school. I spoke to the principal and thought that the situation would be resolved. It wasn't. He accused my daughter of lying. I absolutely lost respect for him at that point. My other daughter told me a few things about that principal later that I wish I had known at the time.

@kwilliams2239
@kwilliams2239 8 місяців тому
Walmart door droids are instructed to check receipts for items not in a bag. You're absolutely right, though. They cannot stop anyone from leaving. Only a police officer can stop someone by placing him under arrest. If it's done by a store employee, it is unlawful detainment. He's also just accused the customer of theft (slander). He could sue for a good chunk of change. An employee can (but don't) ban people from the store if they don't stop. Membership stores (Sam's, Costco, etc.) can stop you and check the receipt because it's part of the contract signed when becoming a member.

For all we know she has been in a violent altercation before which ended with a shooting hence why she said that. No because I had a neighbor like the one who was throwing the poop off the balcony. my upstairs neighbor would let her dog out and pee and poop on the balcony. Mind you the balcony she had was wood? I think but anyways it had holes in it so every time the dog would pee it would trickled down on my patio. There was one time I was sitting outside and she let her dog out and it peed, I was inches away from getting peed on by her dog. I was livid. I got her evicted from the apartment complex. Do I feel bad, not at all. Mind you she would also just sweep the poop off the balcony and sometimes it would land on my patio. I have cPTSD, and as common with people with the condition, we can end up talking without a filter. I have been through some incredibly disturbing experiences. But I have learnt, that by openly talking about my experiences, it can trigger other people’s trauma. A good friend of mine gently pointed this out to me. I’m glad that he did, as I hadn’t realised this before. So now I don’t talk about my trauma in public situations, and I ask people in one to one situations, if they are comfortable with such topics. Some people appreciate that I asked, and say that they would rather not hear about it, while others are eagerly like “give the the details.” It is important to talk about trauma, it is just a matter of finding the right audience.

I totally understand where the Dunkin employee is coming from, I use to work at one and a lot of older people would become really rude and it was so frustrating especially if they sat in the drive-thru cuz not only would they be holding up the line, they would hike our times up for the drive-thru. Idk if other fast food restaurants have their drive-thrus timed but ours were at Dunkin and if our times were over 200 seconds sometimes we'd have to explain y it was so high. It was always so frustrating to me when older people would start getting rude towards us because we were just trying to do our jobs. I'm 19, and I love hearing things like this. I never make assumptions about people based on age and such, because people will always surprise you, but man, some older people were just brutal when I first started working at 16. So although I don't see old people and assume they'll be rude, I'm always so refreshed when they actively call out the behavior of those who do think age earns them automatic respect. THAT earns respect right there. Thank you for that.
@TheSnowdogsShorts
@TheSnowdogsShorts 7 місяців тому
@@jamie6506 I felt the same as you when I was your age. Although I didn’t have the courage to call people out. Well done to you for being able to do that. I respect that. I have held onto the mindset that you have, for my whole life. I treat everyone as an individual regardless of age. A difference between older people and younger people is experience. That can bring wisdom. The biggest problem comes when people forget what it was like to be young. I have never forgotten. Another difference is that younger people have so much energy, and find things interesting and exciting. When people get older, they can sometimes lose that and become jaded, and even bitter. The way that you look at life, means that you will still be awesome when you are an older person. Make the most of every moment you have, and follow your dreams. It doesn’t matter if you succeed at your dreams or not, but when you look back, you will know that you tried, and you will have no regrets. I followed my dreams, some worked out, some didn’t, but I am glad that I tried. I often find that the older people who look down on younger people, never followed their dreams, and are bitter towards young people for having their whole lives ahead of them. I hope you are a rewarding and fulfilling life. You deserve it.

as someone who works for first company (in another country), often we have customers talking very loudly on their phones (whether it's a call, video call, watching videos etc). we try to give them a bit of leeway, like, maybe it's just a quick call or whatever, but when it becomes distruptive to those around them (i've had people playing their music so loudly that i literally was having to scream to be heard by the customers i was trying to serve) i think we have every right to kindly ask that person to please turn down the volume. it rarely goes over well (though sometimes the person immediately apologises and says they didn't realise how loud it was, no big deal). we get proper abuse for just asking people to be considerate of those around them. so we try not to interfere unless there is a really good reason to do so (ie ridiculously loud or something really offensive). otherwise we just have to put up with it and give them the side eye once in a while :P

I lived in expensive apartment after my divorced and lady above locked her little barking dog day and night on patio. It stuck. She would wash it down on my patio. Unfortunately hers was inset and mine stuck out. My potted plants all died from bleach water! Flies to the max. I wrote and told managers for a year. Then moved when lease was up to another in same chain. The guy asked why I was moving...more than that!

Karin Slaughter (she wrote the books that the TV series "Will Trent" is based on) has a series of books called "Grant County", or some such. The first couple of books in the series are excellent, if you're into this stuff. I listen to Karin Slaughter and David Baldacci on audio books when I'm walking (3hrs a day).

I used to work late night McDonalds drive thru. The majority of customers are great but every once in a while there's one that is pure evil. I have been assaulted multiple times cuz an order was wrong. People need to understand the cashier has no involvement in making the order. They take orders, payments and hand out the order. That's it. When someone goes off on us it can take a few minutes to "settle" back into the happy customer service vibe.

The original BK tv commercial was "Hold the pickles; hold the lettuce. Special orders don't upset us!" This back when McD's did not customize orders. Whatever you ordered was precooked & prewrapped. There was only way it was prepared, no changes. You got what you got & that was that.

Hi, back with another book suggestion! This one's called For The Wolf, although I can't remember who it's by. It's basically a cross between Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast, and it's so good! And it just recently got a sequel, so I recommend the series!!

Shampoo with collagen in it that says color safe at the bottom. It's plant based in a brown bottle I just bought some and love it, it makes the hair softer and it keeps the hair from aging too quicky..they also have hemp shampoo and conditioners now too these will run you about 7.99 each..

The sad part is there are some twisted people/customers who grin like madmen because it brings them some sort of sick joy to be rude to other people/employees and feed off of their reactions. As an empath, that is the vibe I'm getting from this guy at the McDonalds counter. He lives to cause chaos and be disrespectful. His crazy grin alone might say it all for some folks watching this.

Showing the receipt would clear your name if something like this happened. So if such a hard ass thinks I'm stealing ever stopped me, I'd just show my receipt and get their manager or go on with my day. All they do is glaze over it and give it back not hard. I did it when I worked at Wendy's. Especially when they don't have items in the bag. It makes my job so hard when they refuse to show me a receipt so I can get the correct items. Showing receipts isn't the hardest thing in the world. Don't be an asshole bc you have to take two seconds to take out a piece of paper.
