This is something I never thought I’d see. They’re called killifish, and there’s actually a story behind these. Wayback in the 50’s, someone, when looking around Africa for inspiration for children’s toys, saw a dried up lake and was told that when the water returns, dried fish eggs in the mud would come back to life and hatch. Thinking this would be a great idea for a toy, he started collecting large amounts of the egg-rich soil and brought it back to America. During a toy fair for investors, he then sold the soil in cubes with instructions to place the cube in a fish bowl full of water and voilà! Fishies! It was a massive hit and was totally sold out, and everyone was waiting in anticipation for production to scale up. There’s a number of news articles written after this event talking about them, saying they should be on the market “soon” and that they’ll clearly be the toy of the decade. However, they were unable to secure enough of the fishie soil to go into mass production, and the story ended, abruptly, there. Years later we got brine shrimp, eh, “Sea Monkeys” instead. I’ve always wanted some killifish, and am glad they’re being mass produced now. They were always available, but in small and expensive quantities.

anyone rearing discus will know the tiny clawfish is brineshrimp. Both the clawfish and killifish can be food for newbred or adult discus. Also you can use smashed egg yolk as food for both. Just remember to change water frequently

The eggs are in the soil to keep them damp but not wet. The eggs are from the killifish. They live in small streams and swampy/boggy environments. When a drought is near to occur, the killifish can produce eggs in which will fall into a dormant state. Only then, during a flood or rain, the eggs will hatch with sufficient water. Very similar adaptation technique used by brine shrimps/sea monkeys.

At 9:30 looks like bursting of egg due to imbalanced salt concentration in water. this condition specifically called hypotonicity causing cell to swell first as observed and then bursting it. in hypotonic solution salts or other electrolytes concentration in solvent (here water) is less than cell so cell can't keep their osmotic pressure causing its lysis.
