Not particularly happy about the second ride streak bonus being removed, I think it could have been tweaked e.g. your second ride has to be more than 2km, or you get less XP for your first ride, more for your second etc. They really need to come up with a plan, prototype it, and stick to it, this seemingly regular changing of the streaks/XP/level boundaries is just amateurish.

"snot rocket" for v1.63 please. If we can have virtual shifting sound, let's have snot rocket sounds. Hold left/right keys for projectile direction and extra drops if you hit a rider.

I managed three spins in one event in Paris. I quit and late joined after my first lap. That put me in a group that still hadn't completed Lap 1. I completed Lap 1 (again) then tried late joining again. I ended up in a group on Lap 2 and figured I'd just finish out the event. Tried for 4+ banners in one ride, ended up with 3. Still more than 2. 😉

what about an update to the climbing/road profile? is that not improved on purpose?

Zwift shouldn't make any changes to late-join or timing in relation to the Big Spin event. That's working as expected - late joining should be possible. All they needed to do to prevent gaming the system was to make the spinner only come up the first time you complete a lap in a specific event. However they also should have been smarter about the probabilities, because getting all the items required a stupid amount of spins for most people (52 spins for me). Lower the chance of getting repeat items, etc.

Hi Shane. Always used apple tv 4k for for zwift - works perfectly. Recently bought zwift play controllers, works great. Due to limited bluetooth connection of apple tv i have to connect all devices via companion app and then i get dropouts. Is there any way to extend maximum bluetooth connection for apple tv 4k?

level 100 at 1m XP - yes makes a lot of sense & a nice big round number, also no, I'm level 96 & have 1.75m XP :) The confetti socks, I've got time to think about them now, prefer the fire socks, I can see "Confetti Socks RideOn begging" being a new thing to rival "Jensie Shirt RideOn begging" :( giving 2XP is an interesting development, wonder what else they'll use it for ?

While I would love to see a full refinement of the UI, what I’d really like to see is the ability to hide HR in workouts and races.

I'm still pretty new to Zwift and Play. Is there a way to give a Ride On using the Play controllers other than a group Ride On? Using a keyboard, mouse or the app for this is really annoying. And, what's the etiquette and protocol for giving Ride Ons, i.e. when should you give them, and are there times when you shouldn't, say when passing slower riders and how it might be seen as showing off or as patronizing them? And, no, not hearing the new virtual shifting sound, but I'll listen for it when I ride today. I do really like this feature though and how it's quieter, easier and simpler and should save wear on my shifters, derailleurs, cables, cassette and chain. And now that I'm starting to wax my chains, it should be even quieter and smoother. My only real complaints are that gears should be customizable and the buttons more tactile and clicky.

For Stage 4 of the Big Spin, how did you late join the B ride after completing the A ride? I don't know how to do that, because the event is no longer there after a ride starts, especially after 50 minutes to complete A ride. I didn't know riders were getting extra prizes. Thanks as always. I still say Zwift should give real world prizes for the useless drops we accumulate. Branded T shirts, bidons, towels would be walking advertisements for the platform. What would be most useful in garage management. Allow us to create favorite frame/wheel combinations and archive unused frames and wheels.

My Zwift still reproducibly crashes every time after saving a ride, so I simply don't get any streak bonus - because I don't arrive at the streak screen (which somehow is what gives the bonus, not the ride itself). Should've put the streak bonus into the ride report as well. Annoying. Also I am extremely disappointed in Jetblack that I still (!) don't have virtual shifting for my volt2 after they did confirm it would arrive "soon" way back when the Hub One / cog was introced with it.

I really haven’t a clue about xp points or levels on Zwift I just use it to train on.

I think they are going the wrong direction with the XP bonus for streaks. Leveling up faster keeps riders coming back. Making it take longer to advance is a real downer for me. Might be time to check out Rouvy.

Did they fix the slow rider problem? Even joggers pass me. Ill be maxed out but going 3mph. I gave up on zwift months ago

"...a little harder to get to level 100"?! Zwift insider states that one will have to get an additional 409,000 XP to get to level 100, if I am not mistaken. Talk about going from one extreme to another. Zwift gives confetti socks to those who have already managed to get to level 100 before the goal posts move in May, so they can flaunt their level to those remaining behind. Nice, Zwift.... Will Zwift be coming out with special socks/kit whatever, to those who get to level 100 with the new requirements? I doubt it.

I'm not going to update zwift anytime soon 😁.

Level 99.5 Will get 100 later today. All for the harder levelling for newer accounts. Had this account since June 2015. Late join for ANY event should be maximum of 5 minutes.

Pity they don't give a discount for pensioners I'm 70 on level 42 and the way I'm going I'll never get to 100 level. But having said that at the end of the day, it's only a game

The shift sound is entirely wrong. It should not be the sound of button actuation. It should be the sound of an electric rear mech actuation. Just as mobiles and digital cameras use a shutter actuation sound.

Nerfing late join would be a colossal mistake without changes to the spin win mechanics. The complete randomness is a joke. At the very least, they should make it so you will always win something you dont already have. Maybe also give the option to accept the drops as an alternate reward if you win something you don't want (i.e retro socks). Another idea would be to award a separate currency that can be used to purchase the unique items, or alternatively, convert it to drops.

I just want my Apple Watch to work with zwift. I dint care if i need 2 billion xp for confetti socks make Apple Watch work.

This update sucks. The amount I had ridden to get to level 50 before the change to level 100 would have gotten me to level 94. Now at level 66 with the reduction of streak bonus to only one per week and the increase of XP required to get to level 100 makes it impossible to get to that level as I am 77 years old. It takes away any incentive for me to continue riding on Zwift.

Ride on bombs need to be per 10 riders atleast and be nice to get 1xp per ride on. And still wheres our Velodrome 🤷‍♂️

More XP tweaks, while a little tiresome, are required. A 16-week streak gave me 15 level-ups, which seemed too much. Some of these last few updates feel light, and polishing around the edges makes me wonder if something huge is in play. This is something I’ve done with various dev teams over the years.

I ride waxed chain and friction shifters so I normally don't hear my shifts anyway.

I have 1.7m XP yet my level up only gets me to level 98, it annoys the hell out of me that I don't level up all the way to level 100, I've complained to Zwift ahout this and it has fallen on deaf ears, why a new Zwift has to ride less than me to get to the same level is somewhat unfair

Zwift will always be too much a "game" before it's a properly regulated riding platform when actual rider performance achievements mean next to nothing. Loopholes to "winning" virtual trinkets that next to no-one will ever use takes away so much credibility. They need a "garage sale" option to trade all the useless kit etc. for XPs.

Gaining levels is pretty meaningless in this game after you have access to the locked areas. It’s not like you can kill bosses more easily 🤣 I’d actually like far superior graphics, I was playing gt7 and Zwift makes me sad next to that.
