First of all, your work is amazing. I have a question. I'm using two 9'x12" pieces of wood to make a countertop, connecting them, so they make a 24 in wide countertop and I don't have a joiner. I am going to fill the gap between the two pieces of wood with epoxy, so I will have a 9' long line between the two pieces of 2in thick wood that I want to fill with epoxy. How do I stop the epoxy from leaking out the bottom? They are not flat, they are rough live edge. I can try tape, but taping them together and then laying them down sounds impossible. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Denim; Beautiful, it reminds me of Micarta, laminated linen, it is used a lot in knife and pistol handles and grips. Has that same layered pattern. I love that you push boundaries. On a different note, i have a dining room table made by an Amish woodworker, and I wanted to protect it with the nano finish, does it come in a satin, no gloss? Thanks in advance, and thank you for very entertaining videos.

Had a co-worker once who cut three of his fingers off on a chop saw. Luckily they were able to re-attach them. But honestly I don’t think he should have been allowed to use equipment like that anyways as he had sciatica from getting stabbed in the back in Vietnam and caused him to have uncontrollable spasms. I wasn’t there when it happened because I didn’t work there at the time, but he did mostly regain function.

How much does it cost to get a sycamore finish, like a hick smacking the kids at the park, running away from the pops' look?

I’m just as here as a Scouser who lives in Speke, minutes from ALL four Beatles childhood homes that you have no taste in music if you think they’re average. I love your channel and your woodworking but keep it woody. Stay away from music. Or I’ll send Ringo over. 😅

I would compare this patchwork to the concept of "Kintsugi", a japanese techique to repair broken pottery with gold inlay, in which the philosophy is something along the lines of "even something damaged or imperfect can still be made beautiful". This was great to watch. Keep up the great work.

Translate.

Preferred all Walnut table. Aluminum looks great but I personally prefer all wood. The wood is the hero. And Scott was totally rooting for good video over project. I’m trying to talk my wife into a 36” x 54” coffee table. What’s your lead time and minimum order size.

Quick question: You spend a bit of time on getting rid of dust, but when the epoxy is setting up, you're using large open air fans. The currents from those fans would stir dust from all over your shop and eventually blow it directly onto your project. Wouldn't it be better to form a cover over the table (wire and plastic) and then use ducted fans with filters blowing into the cover, with vents on the opposite side? It would add a few minutes, but you'd have a better chance of not getting dust blow into the epoxy.

America isn’t too suborn to change to metric, it would just cost too much, think about a single speed limit sign for a 60mph zone, that one sign would need to be replaced and you’d have to pay for the new sign, the hardware, the roadwork signs, the labour for probably minimum 2 people(one person job but 2 because supervisor/manager) and petrol to drive to the location of the sign, it would cost hundreds of billions of dollars to change all the infrastructure in the US to metric units and I don’t think a single tax payer would actually want that Then you’ve got millions of cars that say mph on the speedo instead of kph and the majority of people aren’t going to want to/be able to divide their speed by 1.6 just to know whether they’re speeding The US is just too developed to go back now, it is logistically impossible to convert a country with a population of 350 million to a new measurement system

Blue - I sorta read the comment section and knew ahead of time it'd be brown, but i love blue so i'm still biased. i do understand that brown just has more of an audience, especially for furniture. blue is more like that accent color you'd have on some smaller pieces. enjoyed the video, have a great day!
