When I was around 10-12 years old, my hips would frequently go out of joint if I were to sleep on my side (the hip underneath me would be the one to go out). When it occurred, the SLIGHTEST movement of ANY part of my body would cause my hip to hurt much worse (seriously, even moving a finger made it hurt), so I couldn't yell out without causing myself additional pain. Thankfully, one side of my bed was up against the wall opposite my parent's bedroom. If I was facing the wall, it would take a lot of effort but I would knock in order to get my parets attention. If facing away from the wall, I would have no choice but to yell out for them. Either way, one (or sometimes both) of them would come and put it back into the socket for me. OMG that hurt! But the relief, once put back, was nearly instantaneous (it'd still be tender but not intolerably so). My pediatrician said that it was happening because I was going through a growth period, or some such thing (please forgive me, that was nearly 50 years ago... LOL). I may not remember the diagnosis, but I sure do remember the pain! I can't imagine the pain a lil' guy like Beckham must be experiencing. 😢 I grew out of it, literally, but it's a whole different ballgame when it's a CP child. It's got to be emotionally painful for Mom & Dad, too, considering that he can't express what he's feeling. Wishing you the best, Beckham!
