As a fellow tubie I noticed that there’s some irritation or granulation tissue around his feeding tube. Might be worth asking to see a wound nurse to get it looked at, it could be causing him discomfort

I used to work in surgery as a RN and we loved having a parent come back. Helps mom or dad and definitely helps the kiddo. We only see the procedure side of things but following Beckham and your family helps to understand the whole picture. Anesthesia and hungry was probably all the feels. Glad he felt better after food.

You need to change Beckham to front facing in the stroller, he is big enough he can’t see people passing by ( their faces ) he can’t talk so he can’t tell you how uncomfortable is to twist all the time, his spine, eyes, hips aren’t in the right position while he sits facing backwards, and why he can’t see and enjoy what Blake can see or even you and your husband. It also can develop his language skills, you can name the things that you both see/pass by… From looking at him I’m getting dizzy…

I know it feels like you know Beckham so well and we are so grateful for that connection he has with our viewers! However, I promise no one in the world loves Beckham as much as we do. We also know he gets extremely overwhelmed and stimulated by too much movement and have consulted with his eye doctor on whats best for him. He is forward facing in the car, wheelchair, etc. so in his stroller we allow his eyes to rest. You will notice he often puts up his arm to block out movement and light that are stimulating and difficult to process due to his brain bleed. We share a lot but we don't share every detail discussed with doctors and professionals. We know him best, along with his medical professionals.

It’s crazy to see how quick those injections help!! On the way into the hospital his legs were completely scissored/cross in the stroller and when at the park his legs were so much looser and not crossed!! Pain is awful especially to see in a kiddo but some pain is worth it in the end for his own comfort and ability to make further progress. I am sure he was in some pain but it is also possible he was just very emotional after coming out of anesthesia. I usually have no problems but there have been a few times when I come out crying and not knowing why until I get home and get some sleep/rest. Maybe this time he was just a bit more emotionally on top of some pain

I also get botox and cann't be anaesthetized Esther, because they have to be able to see which muscles are active. But it really hurts😢

I worked with people with CP that were older and they all refused to get botox injections because of how painful they were none of them felt they worked. The next step was a baclofen pump implanted so they could get a much higher dose than they could get orally. I read about another treatment where they can surgically remedy the tightness. I hope science comes up with a better option.

Keep in mind that anesthesia &/or coming out of it it's very common to cause extreme emotional reactions, as well as many other side effects which could also cause him struggling to Iike he did, on top of being hungry & tired, etc. So it may put your mind & ❤ at rest a bit. He's a doll. 🙏❣️

Getting Botox Is Super Painful they literally Had To Give me 1 Full Dose of This Numbing Liquid It’s Just Really Painful But I Know That Beckham Will Get Through this I had to Get Botox In Both of My Calf’s And I Think One On My left Leg near The Bone Which My Doctor told Me It would Be Very Painful but I didn’t feel A Think Just A Small Pinch and That Was it

I know that you are doing everything you can, but have you ever thought of the Shriners Hospital. You need to find a Shriner sponsor, but once accepted, everything is free. They treated my nephew, whom is now 40 years old, and he looked so much like Beckham does. Evan had multiple surgeries to loosen his legs. He walks with 1/2 crutches, holds a full time job, is married and has 2 children.

My 6 year old grandson Rowdy also has to get the Botox shots in his legs. He just had hip surgery on one hip and once that hip is fully healed he will have surgery on the other hip. Just to warn you the surgery and wearing the body cast has been tough. Rowdy can’t talk either and he got a really painful ulcer on his back from the cast. Rowdy and Beckham are a lot alike. If you want to see videos of Rowdy you can see them on my channel. 😊❤

Great question! Yes, he feels pain just like all of his. He does have a high pain tolerance but its heartbreaking knowing that's because he has been through so much.
