Do you absolutely need the projection surface? Could you just use a pair of Fresnel lenses at the same size and positions to bend the lights without passing it through a screen?

Not sure if I’m correct but can we also do this with a early 2000s projector lens? Idk anything about photography but felt like the same concept

You do such a good job at making these things sound so incredibly simple to do that I feel like I could do this myself. Though I know that I'm nowhere near smart enough to get all the pieces together and assembled.

imagine going to a friends house to for example play some mortal combat. you arrive to his room, but only see a monitor some controllers, and mouse + keyboard. no pc. you ask him about it, and he says his dad sinked it. he presses a button on the desk. and everything comes to life, he shows you a pond in the middle of his backyard, and there lies a cartridge with pc parts, water cooled 😂

Not sure using a vacuum for air movement is the best idea since it will pull dust into the enclosure if the seal around your arms is broken. Better to have air blown in with a HEPA filter attached to the inlet. Then a couple outlets covered by a breathable material. This will allow for positive pressure in the enclosure, making it impossible for dust to get in.

I am from the US, and i think the imperial measurement system is bad. The metric system is so much better and more linear/organized. The fact that he used systems of kilograms when weighing the sub down made me happy.

You can build a DIY sub by just putting a heavy lid on a boat. It is actually quite effective.

I like the use of a constant current power supply, or in your case a buck-boost in constant current mode to run the LED's, I'll be doing that in some projects I've got now. Also, I find it hilarious that the British guy wants to mimic the sun.
