Hearn's ko of Duran was way more impressive than any of Duran's knockouts on their own. I still think Hearns was the best of the fabulous 4. He only lost to Hagler because he broke his right hand and he was moving up to the weight class Hagler had camped for years, he one-punched Duran (never done before or after. Neither of the other two even made Duran's knees buckle -- including Hagler at his own weight class), and he only lost to Sugar Ray Leonard, because he gassed (in a fight he was winning handily) and had never fought anyone of that caliber before (in a rematch that happened way later than it should've, he debatably beat Leonard but was given a questionable draw).

William Smith I’m a big Hearns fan as well as the whole Kronk system. However, Roberto Duran had 12 straight lightweight title defenses and won 11 of them by knockout. Some of those by spectacular one punch knockouts. Just sayin.

Hearns doing what he did to Duran was way more iconic than Duran doing what he did to a bunch of guys that honestly your average boxing fan doesn't know. The only guys I remember him fighting at lightweight were a guy named Bizarro (reminded me of the supervillain), Ken Buchanan (definitely a low blow from Duran; not even a debate, as far as I'm concerned), De Jesus (great rivalry), and Viruet (one of Duran's toughest opponents and one who he never finished). If he one-punched someone, it wasn't someone who was on the level where it should be on this list, but - then again - a lot of fights don't really belong on here. Alverado and Morrison had impressive looking knockouts, but their opponents were complete unknowns. I'd prefer something like Bob Foster vs Mike Quarry or at least Floyd Patterson vs Ingemar Johansson 2 (I would've had it in the top 5).

William Smith Sounds like you are knowledgeable (and opinionated) but the Buchanan fight was for the championship not a defense. The low blow was in the last round, I think. Duran had the fight won easily on points. The ref didn’t see it. Happens all the time. Duran was a warrior. Old school like Archie Moore(141 knockouts). Lots of fights. Lots of knockouts (70). Lots of wins across divisions. One of the greatest trainers in the history of boxing, Ray Arcel. Deserves respect.

I've seen hundreds of fights in my life. But I've never seen anyone as unconscious as Walcott was after Marciano hit him. I don't think that punch traveled more than 14-15", but my good GOD, I thought Rocky killed him!! Musta taken Walcott 5 minutes to regain consciousness.. .

And that was just a lucky punch by Tyson in that one. Botha was actually handling him pretty well until he walked into that.
