@jamesh1641 with much respect, that's not always true. I suffer with debilitating acute pelvic pain that's gone untreated for 3 years. Everyone agrees it's a pinched nerve, but no one can find it. I've had countless epidurals in my spine, direct injections into muscles, P. T., nothing has worked and I'm exhausted. In addition I've had pain in my T-spine since 2015, finally had an MRI done which revealed multiple tumors. And I should have had surgery on my left hand 4 years ago. Finally schedule for January and now have to cancel because of the other pain issues I have. I've become my pain. The person who I was, fun, athletic, social - she's gone. And with horrible doctors who offer up no additional possibilities for relief, this is my future. I fight my health insurance everyday, and that too is exhausting. I understand the spirit in which your message was shared, but too much of the "everything is going to be okay" speak makes some of use feel like it's our fault when it doesn't, in fact, go that way. I speak from many years of experience. Most emotional journeys, if traveled with support, care and peace will indeed end up that way, but we don't all start on an even playing field. Spot on. It's also easy for people not in a similar situation to totally not understand. It's also easier when you don't deal with other people's emotions, mental health problems, hatred, jealously, cutthroat backstabbing, strife etc.. 5+ days out of the week. Meaning the workforce. So yeah... advice is extremely tentative.

This channel and Maddie Taylor are at times like watching poetry in video. They're both calm and just relaxing with good advice while also taking you on great adventures.. I have watched Caroline and she is hilarious and also gives great advice. As you give words of wisdom, she gives you things to think about and ways to better yourself outside of her decorating tips. Video she did about a quitting a job and basically, which you've talked about before, doing what you are passionate about. That's just an example. Several other channels I follow have made comments in that as well. Amiee from Kinging-IT made one about rule your own world, you only got one life and do something you are passionate about. That seems to be the consensus is do what you love and passionate about when it comes to work and many other things. Wise advice. Keep up the the great work and being a friend to your followers.

Kid I’ve been alone my whole life even in the crowded room of people I knew I was alone. I have nothing to do with my family and I have alienated all my friends. It’s rough, but I accept it. I live in this apartment that I think I paid too much, I just will live vicariously through all you wonderful UKpostsrs that go to all the places that I wish I could’ve gone to when I was younger, but I was going to choices I made so now I still alone in my apartment watching all you wonderful people having a great time I listen to a little music like right now I’m listening to my girl Tina Turner thank you. I am glad I did get to see her perform. Wow she was beautiful, elegant talented, and a wonderful human being. Wish I could’ve spend time with her. I went to a meet and greet that was nice

Totally agreed 👍👍....exude confidence about who you are. It's ok to say "I am a badass!!" That's what I tell myself Everytime I am about to hit a jump or ripping 70mph on my snowboard. It's how I achieve. We are taught by society to bottle confidence because cockiness is offensive ....well it's not! It's how we achieve by self affirmation and belief!!

Every time I see the issue of loneliness talked about I think of that line from the Tracy Chapman song, "why when there's so many of us are there people still alone?". And I've never felt so alone in my life. My health took a horrible turn in 2009 and I've been struggling ever since. I had a group of good friends, but people tire of chronic illness. They tire of the depression that comes along with it. Then I had to move away from my family because I could no longer afford to live in the SF Bay Area, and it's hard to make new friends at 61.

I’m sorry to hear about the health turn. It is harder to make new friends as we grow a little older, but still very doable!!! Maybe find a group that shares a passion or hobby, even online? I’m sure you have your own ideas, and I know it’s hard. But I hear you, and hope things get better❤.

My daughter also has chronic health issues. She is majoring in psychology for counseling so she can provide therapy to teens with chronic illness and the depression. You are right - those who can't understand tire easily.

@@oliviakahlo1 Thank you so much for your reply. It's so kind to hear an encouraging word. My problem is that I've become nothing but my pain. It's completely debilitating and so so scary. The horrible things that happened to me in 2009 have nothing to do with my recent pain issues, but it's been such a long journey. I don't try and make new friends in real life because I literally can't socialize. I live vicariously through youtube videos, especially travel vids, because I used to love to travel. Did van life in the late 80's!

@@janina3566 It's a very lonely life. I have a great therapist who does EFT but we've agreed that I'm passed what EFT can do for me. I'm filing a grievance with my healthcare group to let them know just how much I've deteriorated under their care. And actually now I'm suffering from untreated acute pain in both my pelvis and t-spine. I have a pinched nerve in my pelvis that's gone on for 3 years and an MRI just revealed that I have tumors in my t-spine. Both are causing me constant pain. I also need a surgery on my left hand, which I can't get in my current state. Sorry for the TMI, just really frustrated begging for help for 3 years, only to be worse off. So glad your daughter is going into a great field where she is not only needed desperately, but will also do so much good for others.

I am so glad I clicked on this video today. I really needed this little life coach session. Without getting into great detail, I have been experiencing a LOT of anxiety and stress from recent things in my life. I have been trying to find ways to destress and let things go that are not in my control. I am an introvert and therefore I have a very small circle of people in my life, by choice. But lately I have felt lonely, and as an introvert this is not something I am familiar with.

hi im a 70 yr old fart, disabled and living alone by choice. you are a beautiful person, inside and out. your videos are inspirational and in this day and age ,its refreshing to find people out there trying to help each other. I wallpapered my bedroom ceiling almost 16 years ago and everyone thought I was crazy - I loved it. Now that I’m living in my bus, I actually wallpapered the ceiling in here too! It may not last as long in this environment, but I love it

Hi there, I always look forward to catching your new videos. I’ve been watching since day 1 and I am impressed by your bravery at such a young age. I was not as brave as you when I was younger so I find it interesting to see how you handle so many daily ‘life duties’ and activities alone. I am a Children’s Librarian in Massachusetts and I get a kick out of your book pics/ talks. Your pleasant nature is infectious. The comments here are great . Alyssa has a beautiful soul . She radiates an energy that is very peaceful. Thank you for sharing . My guess is that being in the mountains has enhanced her journey . The mountains are magical and there is something about the beauty that yanks at your soul . ( I go yearly in the fall ) For those who are struggling. Take a time out , take a deep breath , and remember you are not alone . Find your peace , dwell in that peace , reject anything that threatens your peace .

Colorado will forever be the most gorgeous state to me. This was a nice escape for a moment. I'm learning how to deal with heartbreak on my own after ending a 11 year relationship. I wish i could "escape" but this broken foot is a hinderance. Thanks again for being you. It definitely helps.
