I get what you’re saying, I really do. But, the reason they give deals in situations like this, is that a confession and pleading guilty, takes away the need for a trial, and therefore the family of the victim doesn’t have to go through a trial, or any shit talk from a defence lawyer. It also, in many cases, gives the family of the victim the full story, and, hopefully, leads to the body. On the flip side, a guilty verdict at the end of a trial, usually ends with a much longer sentence, because the perpetrator has fought against everything and generally a defence lawyer will shit talk the victim, will help from their client, and come out with all sorts of things to victim-blame and pass-the-buck. So a deal is swifter and easier than a trial, and takes away the chance of a mistrial or a not guilty verdict. Hope that makes sense xxx

I agree, it’s sad asf. I was introduced to drugs by myself cause my parents were pretty clueless on pills. They just knew opiates=bad. Sooo, they had saved all of them over years in an open space in the kitchen before they found out I was addicted to them. I had gone thru somethin traumatic & then my mom got cancer, so I was taking anything to cope. I had some older ppl reach out to me when I was 17, 18 and wanting more. I found out later that one of the older ladies was involved in pimping girls out. She admitted A LOT to me over the phone whilst she was very messed up. She basically told me that I was lucky I had an overdose and got sober before I got close to her cause she had some “plans” for me cause she wasn’t a “good person” back then. Crazy. It made sense to me then why she had been messaging me right before I OD’d bout getting a Brazilian wax from her cousin and was promising me things. It was so random….but I was naive as hell.

Its always a bad sign when you see someone barely out of childhood start a relationship with someone late into adulthood, especially one with a criminal or drug record. Bad signs all over but what can be done now.

A rumor has gone around that he told someone in jail that he put her “here, there, and about.” But that is JUST A RUMOR! However, they brought cadaver dogs in to the dump site, and all they found was a pillowcase with her wallet and stuff in it, so the evidence leans toward that being at least partially true. However, their family is still accepting tips as to where the body may be. I was a friend of hers and if I lived anywhere NEAR Colorado, I’d be looking out and hunting for her too.

So strange. A guy I knew growing up ended up killing a girl. I hadn't lived there in over a decade, but was not surprised to find out he was in prison for that. I was surprised to find some other people (all female) we all grew up with talking about he must be innocent. I get the feeling they just cannot allow themselves to believe this guy (who was very popular) would do this. I, being a dude, and knowing his psycho ways when we were teens, was not shocked at all that he ended up working his way to violence against a woman. Some people just do not want to look at the world as it is.

The lawyer seems very resigned too. I'd expect him to be more vehemently telling his client not to answer the question. It makes me think the lawyer probably told him not to speak to the police already and dude was doing this all against his attorney's counsel.

You know, nothing was actually presented to show she actually was on a dark path. No proof she was on drugs, none of it. Only what was told by her killer. As a brother myself, I can only give respect where respect is due. He likely felt guilty for not having done more during his sister's descent into drugs and depression, and this was the best way he saw that could make up for it. I can't imagine the pain he's been through as a result of all this. I'm not sure I would have had the same composure during that secret recording, as he displayed so himself.

I heard this story in other videos and podcasts and As fucked up as it sounds , I think he dismembered and ate her . Usually killers will eventually just end up telling them where the body is but the way he’s denying it and sounds scared as if he’s embarrassed to admit he probably did what I said . Especially since his search history was filled about cannibalism after Lea went missing .
