Oh my God, The Strangers is literally the ONLY movie that scares me!! The fact that they are already inside the house before they have any idea is horrifying. Also, when they say they're only doing this because "they were home." Jesus.

Saying Pycho is cheesey cracks me up because it's only cheesey because it set the standard for horror movies. It was (technically) the second legit horror movie over made (Peeping Tom is technically the first). It's (I think) the first movie EVER to have shown a toilet flushing at the time.

Talk to me is kind of a new movie it's been all over everywhere recently and I'd definitely recommend. Pretty much it's about a group of teenagers who use an embalmed hand to contact spirits and it eventually goes too far.

If you ever watch poker on tv, that's the size camera they use. Granted, it would have clashed horribly with that paint job so they likely would have found it quickly, but that was 100% intentional. He wasn't drilling something and accidentally hit there. You'd 100% get away with anything you did to him in that moment. And you two should definitely watch Barbarian. That was actually scary and likely would be more so if you actually use AirBnBs. If anyone goes to a basement and doesn't come out in 5 minutes, well too bad for you because I'm not coming down after you.

The one with the woman holding the supposed baby (or doll) who was trying to get into the house: when the owners saw this on their phone (even though they weren't home) why didn't they call the police and say they have a babysitter in the house, but someone is acting shifty and trying to get in? The police might have gotten there before they got home. And the one with the kid taking the candy: you saw the camera the first time and that deterred you from taking it. What, did you think the second time that the camera would just disappear? I feel like at the point, if you're watching the camera as it's happening, you should say something through the speaker. Just be like, "You saw the camera last time. We can still see you."

Around where I’m from we have things like the shadow in the second clip and they are called “ Shadow creepers “. They can’t enter your house without you inviting them but sometimes you can see a shadowy figure standing outside your door or window and then goes away when light comes on. I’ve also heard them called a “ window lurker “.

I'm with your husband on the hole: 1st thing I thought to do is stick a pencil in there. My favorite scary movie is John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness. Creepiest are Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Rob Zombie's horrors (like House of a Thousand Corpses) & The Fourth Kind. I love Stephen King, but his movies are hit or miss now, though they were scary back in the day.

Two of my besties and I did a ghost hunt at the Lizzie Borden house and I got a figure on camera! I didn't even see it until a few days later when I was back home and was reviewing the pictures. I had just been taking the pictures of the room with different light and it was there!

I have awful experience. My online friend and I talked about guns laws. We lived in different countries. He asked me, what happened if a thief came in house. I told him that some people would shoot thief. we talked about it until I fell asleep. (it was day for him, and it was night for me). I had a bad dream. I finally woke up and I saw someone in my room. I started to scream. He tried to kill me. I woke up. I saw same person. I screamed but it was a curtain looked like person. it scared me.

People that have scariest movie lists and include The Strangers I just know they get scared by the slightest thing. There are good movies that have scary moments, there are actually terrifying movies, and then there’s movies like the strangers and the conjuring that are boring with their biggest gimmick being the “based on a true story”

I grew up Catholic in St. Louis, so the exorcist has a certain sway with me. True story, cast and crew died (three I think). That gets a ten for me.
