This is a great video! for the heating your cage though, I would try to get something for the heat lamps to rest on, like a regular grid piece, so that you aren't just trusting the clamp. There is a high chance of clamp failure and the lamp falling into the cage during the night and your hedgehog getting a burn because they were curious. Also because of the size of your cage I would suggest you invest in a second lamp (and a thermostat if you don't have one currently) to keep the cage evenly heated at the proper temperature.

I used a c&c cage from my past guinea pigs! (It’s been a cleaned out goodly)

I got the same exact cubes and I used zip ties to keep them together and I made a bottom so when i zip tied them together, they held their shape nicely

This was an awesome idea I got the same thing you did because of your suggestion except at the bottom I just turned the pieces upside down so I didn't need twist ties so thank you for the idea

As a note to anyone getting this who is trying to get matching fleeces, this is NOT the same as a standard 2x4 C&C where each grid is 14”x14”, the grids here at 12”x12” so your fleece would be Midwest sized (24”x48”, a true 2x4) and not C&C sized!!!

fleece isn't absorbant. it just wicks away moisture. you're supposed to have an absorbent layer under it. The goto is Uhaul Furnature Pads.

I use a plastic tray from dollar store under the wheel, it is easy take out everyday wash with the wheel and I don’t have to buy cat litter 🤗

Something that I use for my guinea pigs is under neath the fleece in there cage I put puppy pads to keep the pee from staining/ making a mess on the bottom of the cage.

Another idea instead of a heat lamp would be to get a human heating pad ( the one with the controls ) and set it to low, I use that as I had several laying around, and it works! just be sure if its inside the cage, to get ones that are water-resistant ( or waterproof ) so you can clean it easy. Question for you, What wheel do you use?
