День томуWe are finally at that time where demo is done and the build truly begins. Today we are tackling our subfloor's frame. With all the floor prep we did to get to this point you could say it was surreal to finally lay some planks. Framing a Skoolie's subfloor is a big debate within the tiny house community and many may find it unnecessary. However with all the research we acquired we felt that for our conversion a frame made the most sense. Next episode we will be installing insulation and our brand new plywood subfloor.

Why are the screws so long? They look to be about 2" long for going through less than 1" of wood and a little bit of sheet metal and whatever is underneath . . .

Just a suggestion, get some knee pads the knees won't last forever that's one reason people in there 50's have so many knee replacements, I made that mistake and in my 50's my knees are done!

@@JessandJake it's used a lot in building you can do everything from figure roof beams ceiling joist floor joists angles lots of different things sometimes read about it or something and you'll be amazed and how much you can do with it thank you you have a great day I enjoy watching what you're doing.. enough said..

They had to have it towed out of their backyard and it was a bit difficult left the bus a bit dinged up! They made a couple of shorts about it.

You really didn’t have to screw the wood to the floor when you put the installation down and plywood on top everything that you build up will keep it from moving around. That way you don’t have holes all in your floor unless your planning on going underneath to seal them
