From cleaning, prepping, painting, to sealing this was one long and laborious project. You would think leak proofing some windows would be an easy task. However, after an entire month of doing this project we realized we were sadly mistaken. Having a completely sealed bus is essential. Just try and be patient with yourself and the project timeline. We are happy to be moving from the windows to the subfloor!

Getting my windows free of the old gunk and cleaned for paint took just over an hour per window. 16 hours later and I can’t even look at them. I’m so sick of these windows I’ll be procrastinating the painting as long as possible 😂

As a future FYI, the etch primer flashes and dries within 5 to 10 mins. After painting 4 or 5 windows, you could probably start over with 2nd coat on the first one. Same with the paint, it just needs 15 to 20 mins to second coat. With rustoleum, it's best to lay on second coat within 20 to 30 mins max versus waiting a few hours. Also, make sure paint is dry/cured long enough before clear coating or you will get a nice (usually unwanted) wrinkle finish.

Just so you know the space in the side of the windows is for drainage so the water drains not just sit there love the videos and guys are great thank you god bless

@@JessandJake You guys have the right mind set!!! I haven’t found a new Channel with a build I’m excited for in a while. Happy to have found you guys! I totally recommend a white board for the bus that stays on the bus. The key with the white board is to not focus so hard on it. Only write/focus beginning and end of day. Write out the days and next day to do. It’ll help you stay organized on what needs to be prepped and cleaned for the next day 💜💜💜 excited to see what’s next!

Hi there! Just found y’all! On your TikTok you use caulk to seal up the windows but here I see butyl tape mostly and caulk just for the outside, what changed and which route did you take?
