In the original version of “Oh My God,” Miyeon is an entity who drops a cup of wine/blood. Soojin represents the wine/blood, so she also represents evil. Yuqi represents the cup, so she also represents the traits in humans which allow evil to spread. Minnie and Soyeon are both humans. When Miyeon dropped the cup of wine/blood, Minnie and Soyeon both became evil. Minnie tried to fight it, but failed. Soyeon simply accepted it. Shuhua represented purity. There was a scene where another member tried to seduce her into becoming evil, but failed. This means that no matter how corrupted humanity becomes, there will still be a few people that are pure. In the Japanese version, the roles haven’t changed. Miyeon is still an entity, Yuqi is still human traits, Soojin is still evil, Shuhua is still purity, and Minnie and Soyeon are still humans. But this time, Soyeon is the one who tries to fight her evil; Minnie has simply accepted it. Soojin harmed Minnie and Soyeon in the original version. But in the Japanese version, Shuhua saves them. Each member has a scar from their fights with evil. Shuhua sacrificed herself, giving the girls a chance to literally blossom into better beings. I think the 2 mvs are to show the different sides in humans. Just my theory 😁

Damn, their pronunciation is impressive, especially the rap part. What's more amazing is the Japanese ver does not feel like a carbon copy half-ass version. It is clearly the same song "Oh my god" but (G)I-DLE made me feel like the two are different songs. This is quality version on par with the original which only differ with preferences. This is what a Japanese ver should be. I don't stan this group but i can't help but praise them.

Did you see how gorgeous Soyeon looked?, I mean, all of them were stunning but Soyeon with those wings on fire were fire literally, also I liked that flower blooming in Minnie's hand, this video was amazing, dramatic, simple but elegant and of course, so aesthetic, these girls are legit queens.

I personally think the flowers growing out of their wounds is a reference to the Hanahaki disease. The Hanahaki disease is an illness born from unrequited love or one sided love, where the person's throat will fill up with flowers, which eventually leads to the person throw and cough up flower pedals. The only way the diseases disappears is when said person returns the feelings of genuine love. If the feelings are not returned on time, the person's lung will fill up with flowers and the person will eventually suffocate. There is no specific flower for the disease, but it'll either be the crushes favourite type of flower, or theyr favourite colours. You can only hope for the patients and pray that the crushes favourite flowers isn't a type of rose. The length of the disease varies with each person, but on average, it lasts up to 2 or 3 months, but sometimes it'll only last a couple of weeks.

Has anyone got any theories yet? I feel like Soyeon follows a similar version to the Korean version, she’s still a fallen angel and and right now she seems trapped in these red strings. However, what I’m confused on is that Soojin has her own light? And the lyrics are saying ‘It’s weird but I like it.’ I feel like his mv is showing the purer side of her character, meaning her alongside the other girls are falling down, but maybe she’s also going further down than them. This could mean, unlike the Korean mv where she seems to be dragging them down, she might be trying go down alongside them? The light that comes after the first verse seems to appear to all the girls, so perhaps it’s good to them. The torches seem to be really precious, and all forms of light probably symbolise innocence and same with the colour white in general and the feathers. Shuhua has a lot of them, Yuqi has her own and it’s guiding her whilst she’s in confusion, Miyeon is around a lot of them. In the Korean mv they are portrayed as the more innocent ones so that’s where I think it comes from. Soojin, Minnie and Soyeon have less connection to these lights and such, and like the original mv it shows they’re more ‘fallen’ than the other girls. However they still have a feather. Soojin has the most, so perhaps it could represent purity and how she took it in a way? I’m not sure about the flowers, please give me some info if you think you have ideas on them. After the second chorus Miyeon drops the fetahers, and all the girls let the candles drop (ffs I’ve been using torches this whole time). This is the definite symbol they’ve completely fallen down into this ‘overlooked world’ according to Shuhua, where it all occurs around that line. And ends with Minnie’s line, pretty melancholic. Overall, I’d like to know if anyone sees any more symbolism but also anything about those flowers, I’m really curious. Could anyone try helping with the symbolism of Soyeon’s wings too? Extra edits from replies: (People have some cool stuff down there, I recommend checking them out!) -Some one mentioned the fact that, with the feathers and Minnie’s nest, this could instead just be symbolism for them being like birds. They’re stuck in the nest because they need help being able to move from their situation, in away. I think it’s with all the scenes these girls are in, they’re all trapped. -There’s a difference from the torches and the actual lights. The torches are artificial, I think they might be a false feeling of love. Yuqi is shown putting the torch to her neck (hell is my baby okay-) so she may be trying to replicate what she was given. The actual lights are the natural ones they find, those truly help her.

Theory: It begins with minnie who is in a birdnest(?) and write something on a tree with a red chalk. It seems she is accepting that she is losing her purity. Then we see soyeon trying to break free from the red ties (BASICALLY FROM SOOJIN) Soojin seem that she doesnt want to be the 'bad guy' anymore. She is trying to find the light that is showing up, but seem to gave up Yuqi was in a room that she hasn't seen before. Which seems like the purgatory. Miyeon is surrounded by many lights. Which is different from others (candles) means that she is the one who is the puriest. But is seems that she aint satisfied. In the1st chorus. We can see the members reachin out their hands for help, and possibly to escape on what soojin cause. While Minnie is reaching out the light. A colorful flower just bloomed in her hand which is a sign of purity. In soyeon's rap part, she has entered Miyeons lair(?). We can see that there is a white feather. Which is another form of the 'purity' Unexpectedly, we saw Miyeon in the purgatory. Which means she has lost her purity and gave in. There is a dead flower which bloomed in her hands. We then saw shuhua has bloomed a colorful flower in her hands. Yuqi was about to gave in and is wanting to burned herself with the candle. But stopped herself when a flower bloomed in her neck. They received the feathers that represents purity. But, Miyeon gave in instead and pick up the candle. Shuhua picked up her candle then tried to rotate the candle. She knows that onces the candle is melting it means that there is a possibility that she will bring her purity back. Then Soyeon appeared in the front with fiery wings in her back, it showes that she has now replaced Soojin. From wanting to get out of soojin's side. She became the devil herself. We then see them with a red flower in their hands. It shows that even if they do anything they can't get their purity and will stay being the devils they are P.S i know my theory is dumb😂
