Cherish that sweet little Sage- I had to put my last cat to sleep on Monday. Bitsy was close to 19 years old, starting to have a rough time of it, and had a seizure very early Monday morning. I’m grateful that the vet didn’t beat around the bush about it, and said there really wasn’t anything to do for my little one. So I held her and cried, and asked my mom to look after her when she got there. 😢❤ Miss my funny, feisty baby! Thanks for the stories tonight, Nance! Sorry for being late to the party my fellow Sas-squad. It has been a rough week. My dog passed away and even though she was with us a short time, she was loved by all in the family. Hey Nance, I am saddling up to head down to Sasquatch Valley and sit around the embers of the campfire and hear the stories you narrate hanging on the wind.

Great story! Robert’s camp trailer sounds like the same floor plan we have in our camp trailer, except ours only has one door. I agree with Robert’s boys. It was scratching its back against the corner of the camp trailer. I do that myself against interior corners! 😂 Nothing gets at those pesky rhomboids under your shoulder blades better than a nice sharp corner. 😅 As far as why Robert’s trailer? It kept coming up to the end of the trailer where the boys were in bed. Sasquatches have a rather disquieting tendency to be very curious about human children. I try to make myself feel better about it by joking about how everyone loves watching puppies play, but there have been terrifying encounters where the creature seemed to be trying to take kids by force or trying to lure them outside when parents are sleeping. But there are also encounters where a Sasquatch protects a child or rescues them from a potentially deadly situation. They are so unpredictable and volatile. But under those basics, they are individuals, just like humans. Some are kind and even protective of people they like. Others seem to go out of their way to terrify or hurt people. No way of knowing what it’s going to do. And Robert’s close up view of that BF!!! 😮Sacred Cow! I definitely would have been leaving a puddle on the floor.

OMG! Sage could be a sister of my boy Caesar! His undercoat is black but he has some Russian Blue in him, so he has a bluish-gray top coat. Of course, like so many cats, he is like 60% devil, 40% angel. His mischievousness is part of why I love my little guy so much. Some great stories tonight as always Nance. To relate to the title of your favorite contributed story, I think that the hormones and pheromones put out by young people, female and male alike, is sensory overload for a Squatch. They are so attracted to those body chemicals. I bet they can smell or sense those things for miles. This is my theory on that. Take care and have a great weekend up in the Cincinnati area. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad and yucky.

Very familiar with West, and East Nelson siding roads, just before turtle town/easton on I-90. It was only a few miles from there, up by Stampede pass, that I saw red eye shine, out on a snowmobile night ride, 2007, probably around midnight. Very far apart red eyes, over a steep bank, probably about 10 foot up on the trees it was in between, which made it just over my eye level with it standing on the downhill side. Our headlights were pointed on the trail, past it, and it was only snow reflection, and nothing but those red eyes were visible, and I had no desire to dig through my pockets for a flashlight. My buddy was stuck behind me, in my trench, where I sidehilled across this wind blown road. I told him hey you see those red eyes? He wanted to leave my spare sled, and just jump on behind me and go. I said no, I'll give ya a Ski pull, you gas it, and just keep going past my Sled, and I'll catch you in a minute. Well the trail was a dead end, probably why we were first tracks. But going back by, the red shine was gone, confirming it wasn't a reflective sign, nailed to a tree.
