Visearyis isn't to blame, Alicent misinterpreted his last words to her, and regardless of those words by their laws Visearyis did everything needed for his daughter to become queen. And as you so well put, Alicent was well aware Agon wasn't fit to rule, her only purpose was her own ambitions. Alicent is to blame for it. I'm really hoping we get to see her die by dragon (I haven't read the books, so I don't know what happens next)

@fairlyoddme3021 So you dont interpret Visearyis saying I was wrong. My dream was about Aegon in the song of Ice And FIre. There's no doubt Alicent and her father were looking for power before this happened. But I still feel this is what pushed allison't over the edge because of what Visearyis said. @@jarin12ga oh it could easily be misinterpreted, but Visearyis thought he was speaking with Rhaenyra, can't really blame him for that in his condition. But Alicent knew nothing what he was talking about and filled in the gaps herself, and the king didn't confirm or deny any of her assumptions unfortunately. But she still chose to break the succession and their laws to do it, knowing full well that her son was unfit to rule to begin with, so for starting the war I have to blame her. In GoT, in that scene it does say how she died... But it doesn't say which brother, who won the war, or anything about Alicent as far as I remember.
