The people there were so hospitable, and curious about foreigners, like I was in another planet. And I'm a shy guy who doesn't speak Portuguese and avoids talking to people unless necessary and was very cautious, but always went with my instincts and never had any bad experiences. And no one ever asked me for money or to buy them anything. (And i'm not white, European or American i'm 100% black African, so that did not give me any unfair 'advantage' as some would assume)
