Buckeye Ball Recipe:
INGREDIENTS -
1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
½ cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
DIRECTIONS -
Step 1 - Line a baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.

Liked your story about the buck-eyes. We have a bush here called a Texas Buck-eye, and yes, they do have these big seeds that resemble a bucks eyes. I say bush because we have kept them that size because of where they naturally came up, we needed to keep them as shrubs. I love your stories. Keep them coming!

Man what a trip seeing something as huge and scary as a Sasquatch coming after you at a dead run! I'm in that old man's situation and that would suck! Reminds me of the old joke about 2 hikers being charged by a grizzly when the older hiker takes off his clunky hiking boots and is in the process of cramming his feet into running shoes when the younger man asks him what he thinks he's doing "those running shoes aren't going to help you out run that bear!!!" When the old man replies " I'm not trying to out run the bear, I'm just making darn sure I out run YOU!!!"

The story of the person who commented. I think it was just entertaining itself with the foot race, to see how fast "we" are. If it wanted to harm you, you'd've never lived to tell the tale. A predator does not give away it's presence/intent before a kill. This morning's snackage... breakfast burritos with fried taters, garlic salt, Chipotle Tabasco, shallots, summer snausage, scrambled egg and mozzarella cheese, wrapped up in flour tortillas and toasted golden/crispy in the cast iron skillet. Yum. Those Buckeye Balls do look addictive. Great with a glass of milk too I'll bet.

Yeah, you're gonna love what people (such as myself) from Illinois are called! "SUCKERS" "People from Illinois were called 'Suckers' in the 1800s, and Illinois was called the 'Sucker State.' As explained in an 1845 issue of the Brooklyn (NY) by someone 'who was at the christening,' people from southern Illinois went to work at the lead mines in Galena, Illinois, in 1827-traveling upstream just like suckers (fish). The first 'Sucker' citation is from the article 'The Lead Mines of Upper Missouri' in 1831: Illinois was called the “Sucker State” by at least 1834. The nickname “Sucker” is mostly of historical interest today." Lol! Great stories! I love to listen to you and Cam (Dixie Cryptids) narrate Bigfoot stories!!

Nance, Excellent narration as usual and I might have to break quarantine and drive up to Ohio for one of those Buckeye Balls, or you and yours by could drive down here to Georgia for some Southern Hospitality and then take a little expedition into the Chattahoochee National Forest to visit the two world record Buckeye Trees. Now I might have told you about them when you were just starting your channel, I am getting old and I get to use that excuse. But there is a wonderful story of where they are located and the man that protected the mountain forests before the National Forest Service. Now that is a wonderful story in its own right, but I was lucky enough as a young sprout to just be in the right spot at the right time for my own connection to the famous forester whose name the tiny valley where these two beautiful trees are located (assuming nothing has happened to them since my last visit. We have had some serious storms and in the mid 1990’d Hurricane Bertha downed a huge number of trees in those forest. I flew over a large part of it with some of the DNR Staff that I was under contract with at the time and they were saying that there were estimates of 10% of all of the trees in the Georgia Mountains National Forest were destroyed.) Damn, I am off topic again. I guess that is part of being: The old professor Live free or die! Death to all tyrants! If you can not get behind these historic words, you are on the wrong side! No Shit.
