Lorde is a genius, the lyrics, melody, and anything about her songs is just beautiful and so simple but still complex.

the fact that Lorde's album has divided music critics and some fans just shows you how monumental and important this album is and will be in the future

this song (like so many of lordes, but this one in particular) evokes a feeling that i feel much of us gen z have rn. idk, i j feel like even though we’re all being proactive towards the fight against climate change as humanly possible, we can’t help but feel a deep sense of hopelessness inside. the looming imbalance of power, wide spread oil-influenced corruption and unbearably hot weather serving as a reminder to our doom everyday outside is exhausting. it seems like for every step in the right direction, the road is paved 5 miles longer to treck. i rlly appreciate this song. its validated this feeling ive felt so guilty for having for these past few years and has given a sound to an emotion i could never describe

With all the pop and etc songs that are just lots of noise in the end, hearing such a beautiful and quiet melody is extremely satisfying. People say that this is too plain but on the contrary, it couldn’t be more perfect. We are so used to hear sounds blasting to our ears that we have forgotten what the meaning of music is.

This is one of my favorite songs from Solar Power. The progression of the song from the start feels like a cup of coffee but you didn't finish drinking it.

I just wanna say that I'm struggling with my depression and this new album is healing me in someway, that's so powerful...Lorde's art is always a cure for my soul and she's just came in the right time to me the sun in my life... I'm just so grateful, it was everything I needed... I have strong panic attacks and anxiety too but this album makes me feel stronger and it gives me peace and relax, it feels like a long meditation session 🌱 So grateful💛

An Ecosocialist anthem! Lorde knows that we really need somebody to be the leader of this new regime - ecosocialism - before capitalism destroys the Earth and the human species.

This song makes me want to leave everything behind and go live in a cabin on a beach.

I want to go to the beach in summer and listen to all Solar Power while I see the waves of the sea in the distance.

This song makes me contemplate over global warming, simple pleasures in life and current situation in Afghanistan . Truly an underrated gem, if closely looked upon.

A cloudy day was filled with sun when you started singing, you make everything come to life. You truly are a Lord(e) and a genius in anything and everything you do.

Honestly I’m in a really dark and confusing time in my life stuck with nostalgia that I know I need to move on from but can’t seem to have any hope for the future. I immediately thought of lorde’s music to comfort me as her songs reach soo so deeply into my soul. I knew pure heroine or melodrama was an easy choice for darkness and angst and ending of a (teenage)era or the melancholy and pretty subtle rage(release). Then I remembered this song and for some reason I thought if lorde can go to through everything she went through in pure heroine and melodrama and all other obstacles that I’m unaware of and still reach a place like solar power with its experience and wisdom and hope for life then maybe I can too.

Queen vibes? I can't un-hear it.

It's very interesting reading the many hate comments... the song is actually really well composed, but let's not underestimate the work done by the producer/s. Arrangements are very professional, the melody has a very peculiar way to breath and rush at the correct intervals. All in all, it's a very good song, coming from a composer/producer point of view. It's a good job.
