How to install Raspbian Jessie to raspberry pi 2 and using it as desktop PC. This is a cheap alternative for Desktop PC. I also will be reviewing the new Raspbian Jessie. Thanks for the view

Awesome! I had no idea Ice Weasel could work on RPi. I have 3 Pis (A+,B+,Pi2) I really only use my Pi2 anymore since it's release. I mainly use it as a media center but I've played around with Raspbian and some of the other distros out there. I recently installed the latest iteration of NOOBS with OSMC and Raspbian. The problem I'm faced with is my wi-fi signal is WEP and the newer wi-fi setup program is designed for WPA. I don't really understand the link they provide for setting up WEP as I'm not an experienced Linux user. Can I install the old Wi-fi Config program so I can just eliminate the hassle of trying to set it up their way?

Do you think you could use the official Debian mirrors in the sources.list file? (since you said Raspbian mirrors are slow)

I have no problem with the OSMC side of things. Everything works great on that end! I can't change my wi-fi signal to WPA. I don't control it directly. I've reached out to the RPi forums in the past but I don't like to because they tend to be condescending and try to make me feel stupid just for being a noob.

+Don Hui The apartments were I live offer free wifi. If I could physically change it to WPA I would. I have mentioned it to the front office but it hasn't been changed. The symptoms are: when I hover over the wifi icon in the taskbar under wlan0 says not associated. When I click it it shows available connections including the apt complex wifi. When I enter the password nothing happens. The blue led blinks on my wifi dongle but nothing.

Hi, I have a question about the GPU of the rpi. Does it affect the temperature if set higher than 64? Or does it lag the enviroment? Sorry if i missed anything :-)

+The Random Stuff doesn't effect temperature but allows for a smooth experience if running media object ie youtube

+The Random Stuff really depends do u want more memory for you pi or more video memory for video playback. minimum is 16mb for desktop 64meg is good and if find it choppy then I got up to 128mb

Raspberry Pi defaulting to UK locale is payback. Since the launch of windows we in the UK have always had to suffer desktops that default to US timezone and keyboard layouts!

In fainess the rest ofthe Anglosphere has been stuck with 'US English' instead of correct spelling as our language as punishment for accepting the US keyboard layout.

thanks for completely skipping over the remote desktop portion, and also the part where you go from the command line to the desktop. 2nd video that left me lost.
