I’m not a fan of Jimmy’s interview style normally, but I gotta say, props to him for giving Macaulay the respect he deserves, and mentioning how we all love him. Ellen’s interview was definitely very dry, and impersonal and I know her interview style is more understated, it definitely didn’t have the respectful tone that this one does. Jimmy actually cares and it shows.

I was just thinking the same thing. The parents, I think they both are still alive so they could be the grandparents. I think it would be very cute if it was done right in the same style. The problem is, we don’t have John Hughes to write it, and make sure it is filmed in the same style. Not sure if Chris Columbus would come back on board and do a new one. That and I think John Hughes family still owns the ultimate rights to these films he did. So, I don’t know if it could be done even if they wanted it to be. Without the involvement of John Hughes wife and kids. Unless one of his kids decides to try to write it. I think if it was done right, it would be incredible. The problem is, with all of this Woke crap going on… I think it would be very hard to get the same feel and look. Too many hurdles to jump to appease everyone.

In Home Alone 1, they made a point to mention as the family was leaving that the power was fixed but the phone lines were messed up. They woke up late because the power reset the alarms. In Home Alone 2, he calls the cops and tricks everyone into meeting in Central Park.

I literally bumped into him at the duty free shop at the airport near Washington DC. I said "hey your that guy from home alone" he smiled and said yes many years back. I than said "well I think I watched that in Afghanistan at least 20,times as it was the only DVD we had in English with the Afghan national army instructor tent" he than again skilled and said "poor you" I shook his hand and we went our ways. Decent dude and taller than I expected.

Kevin didn't call the police because he thought he was a wanted criminal for stealing the toothbrush. When he finally did call the police he did it from the neighbor's house (pretending to be the neighbor). Home Alone 2 however, he has absolutely no excuse to not call 911 right away except for wanting to torture Harry and Marv EDIT- I'm now realizing they kind of TRIED to give him an excuse in HA2:LINY by having the concierge threaten him with the police for "stolen credit card" but it's a much flimsier set up compared to the first one. He was "defending" Duncan's Toy Chest, not his own house and ended up calling 911 from a pay phone in the park, plus he signed the note he threw through the window with his own name.

Well, I’m home alone too. He thought he was getting in trouble for his dad’s credit card but then again that was probably after he seen or the bad guys but yeah, that even in the first one I was cut a I didn’t think about as a child, but I thought about that too, when I watch the homeland the other day and call the cops but I didn’t think about the toothbrush thing

Kevin didn’t call the cops because the phone lines were down and by the time they were up again (how would he know?) Sure you could say how would he know if the phone lines were even down at all, but he was an eight-year-old who was free of his family who he hated and by the time he began missing his family, he was busy protecting his home from two burglars who he did actually call the cops on.
