Fantastic review. I came across your channel while comparison shopping for sport TW earbuds and subscribed to the channel. Your reviews are thorough with good explanation of the features and performance. So many reviews are merely restatement of the manufacturer's sales pitch but you do a great job getting into the details. The call quality of the Momentum 3 is really good in the noisy environment. Voice sound a bit robotic but at least the background noise is reduced a lot. I got the Momentum 3 a couple of weeks before and I’m very happy with them. Sennheiser released a firmware update in early October which enables Multipoint connection as well which is great. Only issue I have is that the EQ Settings doesn’t seem to be stored on the earbuds itself. The settings are re-applied when you open the app again after re-connecting the earbuds to the phone. Hopefully this can be improved with further updates.

Great comparison video! Great job of always providing very detailed reviews! I’m a huge fan of Sennheiser’s true wireless earbuds. I own the Momentum TW2, TW3, and Sport True Wireless. I enjoy using all three versions. The Momentum TW2 and TW3 are both great for relaxed listening (while reading or just appreciating great music, specifically music with a lot of instrumentation separation and wide sound stage), while the Sport True Wireless are great for workouts, particularly running and weight training.

Really well done review. I want to try the CX Plus SE for working out, but the Sport TW look really nice aswell.

Hello Andy! I need you help, because I'm hesitating between two TWS earbuds, the Edifier Neo Buds Pro and the Sennheiser Sport Ture Wireless. There are some points, that really got me thinking of. 1.) I do not have a TWS earbud right know, so I would like to buy one, that is (almost) good for everything, but mostly i want to use it when I train in the gym, sometimes for running (outside, but mostly inside), and rarely when I travel by public transportation. 2.) For me the most important creterion is sounding. So firstly is the Edifier Neo Buds Pro has a better sounding with its dual driver system, or the Sennheiser with its single dinamic driver? 3.) I understand, that the Sennheiser is a sporty earbud and because of that it is totaly secure to wear while working out, but how about the Edifier? Is it fit well for example while running? 4.) Does the Edifier ANC got works so well, that it is necessary or the Sennheiser can do the same with its Focus mode? 5.) Maybe this is the same with the tranparency/aware mode on Edifier and the Sennhesier open aware adapters? 6.) Overall, is the ANC really needed in this price tag and work so well, that without this there is no life? (I really don't know that. Actually I have an over-ear bud, which has ANC, but I don't feel like this is a such a big plus for me, so... Yeah.... Im kind of wondering if the over-ear can't gave me so much, how the in-ear buds could?) To be honest this is the pricetag I can and willing to afford for a TWS earbud. While I'm a big fan of Sennheiser so many tester said these sport true wireless is not for everyone, and on the other hand, so many tester praised the Edifier Neo Buds Pro that the different infomrations got me thinking a lot for which one I should buy. Where I live in the Western region of Europe they are at the same price, so this really don't help... :) I'm so thankful for your response and your videos! Keep the good work up!

Phenomenal review - yours and Mike O'Brien's are consistently the best for me. I am still trying to find the perfect bud that has quality audio, great mic & transparency, comfort & fit - and have been homing in on TW3 - until I watched this review! What - no side tone?! I assumed it was there, so thank you. So I would then jump to the CX Plus - but, mic test was poor in the review (and the sports version), TW3 a very clear winner. Can you think of a bud that can meet these reqs? I default to my Bose Sports (which you rated and I agree), but they are missing some key features...looking for the next one

Awesome video! Question. I just got the Soundcore Sport X10's for my workouts and although their sound is loud and bass is great, it's difficult to find a good seal since those buds don't go into the ear very deep. For the gym I like a good fit, loud, and a lot of bass; do you think Sennheiser Sports would do well in that regard?

Great review, all aspects (sound quality, features etc) are covered. I bought the CX Plus after watching this review, and now I'm back to see if I should get the Sport since I use them purely for gym. My focus is sound quality more than anything and it seems the Sport without the extra features will do just fine.

Only issue I have is that they hurt my ears after an hour of listening no matter which ear tips or wing I use. This comparison is a good example of how subjective wireless earbuds are. The only negative I can really say about the CX Plus is the much weaker ANC mode while I think the MTW3 are one of the best on the market & they fit me perfectly fine right out of the box. We're all different as the same goes for our personal opinions. Regardless I'm sure we can all agree on the fact that Sennheiser gives us really good solid overall products. Momentum TWS 3 was almost the choice for me. Then the sound quality of KEF MU3 took over my interest. In lack of confidence as it was 1st Kef's this class product I let it go. Today I bought M&D MW08, last one from Denmark warehouse for 230 euros. I do a weekly cardio speed walk and occasional run, U hope with foam tips they won't fall, that's my only concern. Great comparison. So detailed, its awesome. I have the Bose Sport blue ones and the sound quality is great on those. How does the sound and volume of the Sennheiser's compare to the Bose ones? I mainly listen to Hard rock/ Progressive Metal and Jazz. Ignoring everything else but fit and sound quality, it seems the Sennheiser Sport is the one to buy just for the secure fit and reasonably decent sound quality provided the volume is not too low.

Came in wanting an overview... And wasn't dissapointed. I'm leaning CX Plus... just wish they had fins LoL. Thank you, great job.

The M3 mic had noticeably lower volume compared to the other two it feels like the surround blocking/cancelation feature affected your voice too.

I was contemplating between getting the apple AirPods Pro for its convenience. Small case, easy pairing and the ANC I enjoyed a lot. How many times I have plugged it on in frustration to inconsiderate passengers playing videos without putting on earphones. Yet my gripe about it is the lack of good quality sounds. Not bassy and warm enough for me. Sennheiser I’ve bn eyeing it since Momentum2 came out. Love how balanced, boomy and wonderful it sounds but the case is big and hours on the case was short. With your review, I think perhaps even true wireless would be a good upgrade to music quality from AirPods.

It's a shame you've had such a poor experience with the MTW3. I guess I was lucky enough that they were more compatible for my ears. It is strange that the side tone feature isn't included on the MTW3 but perhaps it will be added in when/if multipoint comes in a future update. While I think the MTW3 already sound exceptional, I hope Sennheiser also adds the option of the high end sound tuning that was available on the MTW2 as well. So I can basically get the CX Plus SE for 100 Euro and the MTWS for 200. In your mind, should I completely disregard the MTWS and directly go for the XC Plus SE for this price? Also, how would you rate both for general Gym use (no over the top running or jumping / other sports).

I ditched all brands except Seinheisser because of buds staying put in ear. Iv yet to go for this style of ear phones because I might lose them.

The TW3 (flagship) buds have the worst microphone quality. What are you thinking Sennheiser?! I just went from the TW1 to the new TW3 and after years of flawless performance from the TW1, I’m already having issues (occasional high-pitch squeal) with my new TW3 buds.

Iam divided between CX plus and sport but, Iam leaning towards CX plus due to ANC and imaging. I run regularly and occasionally run trails. Will CX plus stay in ear during my trail runs?

Momentum 3 is actually way nicer to carry in pantspocket, cause it lays more "flat" against the skin. The other caes are not nice to have in the pantspocket.

If you don't care about very premium look and like a more pocketable case ...get the cx plus and save your money

I've had ever generation of Sennheiser TW ear buds and every single one stopped working after about a year. EVERY SINGLE ONE. TW1, TW2 and now a few days ago........you guessed it......TW3. Terrible build quality. I now own the Sony WF-1000XM5 and they sound and work way better than the TW3. I was a life time Sennheiser guy, but will never buy another pair od their wireless ear buds again. Be warned.

I cant get myself to buy sen earbuds because of the build shape. These will 100% fall out
