So right now as of Mid 2022, sennheiser has finally finished revamping their whole truly wireless ear bud line up. We’ve got the bass Sennheiser CX’s, there are the CX plus, the momentum 3’s and the workout focused Sport True Wireless. Now all of these earbuds are using the same 7mm true response transducers and they all sound great. But if you’re trying to choose between any of these earbuds, then today we’re going to break down Sennheiser’s whole earbud line up, cause the features here are very different.

You are one of the best in the reviews earbuds, but please, make the sound quality sessions more explained like other sessions. Cause sometimes this session is so short and not so much information like for example NC session.

One thing that is missing in this otherwise excellent and clear review is the connection time between taking out the earbuds from the case to the sound actually coming through. It is a very relevant question considering that Sennheiser MTW2s were abysmal in that regard with ~25 second connection time - a glaring issue not reported in any spec sheets and largely overlooked by most reviewers. So, how are S MTW3's doing in this regards???

Great review. I think the CX Plus earbuds have a very underestimated ANC. Just put on the large eartips and you are good to go...I'm not sure the sound quality is as premium as some others, but they are good and the controls are super responsive.

I needed some buds for work and knew I wanted sennheiser due to the reputation. Normally I just go top of the line but didn’t want to risk breaking a near $300 pair of ear buds with the M3TW so I went with the CX plus because the white ones were on sale for $100 incredibly pleased with them. The sound is incredible. Can’t imagine how could the M3 are if the CX plus are this good.

People are saying there is not much difference in difference in sound within the Sennheiser line-up. M3 has some kind of enhanced mode, which adds nice clarity to the sound, I always keep it on. It is not available on CX but on CX plus it might be available - I don't know.

I really enjoy your detailed reviews. I have a great deal of respect for what you recommend. However, it’s glaring that you don’t mention the Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds when you rank top performing noise canceling earbuds. Is there a particular reason you omit the Bose earbuds from your lists?

Personally, the Bose earbuds case is just way too big and they will always be a deal breaker. So I don’t mention them in my videos to help streamline them. However since there is so much demand for them, I think I will start considering them when I talk about anc. But until Bose gets a real case, they are a deal breaker for me.

@@GYMCADDY I understand. The Bose case is absolutely too big; especially considering the fact that the total battery life is way below average. On the other hand, Bose set the industry standard for ANC and is still one of the leaders in that category, right along with Sony. I own several Bose earbuds; including the Quiet Comfort, SoundSport Wireless, and one of the first ever ANC earbuds the QC 30. Like you, however, I prefer the Sennheiser sound across the board. My current favorites and go-to for the best sound, most immersive audio, deepest bass, best instrument separation, and widest sound stage are the Momentum TW3, the Momentum TW2, and the Sport True Wireless. I also own and enjoy Soundcore’s Liberty 3 Pro and Liberty 2 Pro, as well as Soundpeats’ Mini Pro and H1. I use all of my different earbuds for specific genres of music and specific purposes.

Oh no. Just found out about the hissing sound on theTW3s, and I ordered them and am waiting for them. I owned a set of Jabra 75t before but couldn’t use them because of the high pitched hiss on the left bud. It aggravated my tinnitus so I gave them away. I guess I won’t be using ANC on the TW3s once they arrive.

I just bought sennheiser cx plus se edition because after few resets and repairing I have still drop out problem time to time in public specifically in the traffic with my sennheiser momentum 3 tws from the beginning of the purchase with the latest firware.. I jave also momentum 2 and senn. sport earbuds and I have no any drop out issue with them just with mom' 3 .. So I'll try to wait on new firmware or I'll sell them 😮‍💨🙄

I genuinely hate how good the M3s are but lack at some of the most basic calling functions. No side tone which all the other buds have makes calling on them rather unbearable and they cannot mute from the ear buds.

If you look at the negative reviews of Sennheiser earbuds across the board, you'll see that the overwhelming complaints are terrible build quality and reliability. Enough people complain that one of their earbuds fail after 3-6 months that this seems to be a legit problem, with most Sennheiser earbud models having 10% or higher 1-star reviews -- pretty high.
