@@anqealHis behaviour was inappropriate and unacceptable. One thing that made me feel less afraid of men like this, was something I saw in a video made in the 1950’s. It showed grown men acting aggressively, then it showed a young boy acting in the same manner. The point was to demonstrate, that the grown men, were basically throwing a childlike tantrum. So if their behaviour can fit in with being similar to a childlike tantrum, there is usually nothing to be too worried about, although still take care. But if it doesn’t fit, take extra caution. We should never be put in a situation where we feel intimidated, vulnerable, or scared, but sadly it happens. I know it is far worse for women, and that is so wrong and unfair. If my calling men out can help, then that is the very least that I can do.

I CANT STAND people who don't understand that I as a cashier can't control the fact that the system requires your birthday. The reaction is even worse if you're underage and they are buying alcohol. I had a customer get upset and scream at me at my first job because the PizzaPlace I worked in sold beer and not only could I not touch the tap ( I had to ask another employee to do it for me) but I had to type their exact birthday in before I could complete the sale... I was trying so hard to explain that to them and they just kept talking about how stupid and simple I must be that I can't even work a tap let alone a register... manager knew about this and was friends with the customer so nothing was ever said to the guy.

State 2 has less strict alcohol laws, and allows liquor to be sold everywhere but a drive thru. State 1... did not. So many State 2ers pissed that the store did not stock liquor, and didn't sell alcohol on Sundays. Sorry bro, but you're holding up the line now.

I worked in a plant nursery many years ago and they had a policy that if the plant died within a year you could get a replacement for free. I saw so many people returning plants that had obviously never been watered and still had roots the shape of the pot they’d come in. When I mentioned to people to make sure they stayed irrigated they complained that they just wanted something they could plant and leave. I’m like…..sir that’s not how plants work, especially in a dry-ass place like a suburb where they strip the good soil and lay sod. 🙄

@@icedperfectioni worked in a nursery/greenhouse and our boss out and out had a no return or replace policy printed on the recipt and the walls in every greenhouse and behind the cash register. It said since they are living things and we have no idea how you take care of them we will only guarantee that they are alive when you buy them. Then there was the nasty woman who wanted a hanging flowering plant that one-didn't need to be watered every day and 2-a flowering beautiful plant that didn't leave a mess by dropping spent flowers everywhere and 3-it had to be bright and pretty in full shade on her porch. After running through all the hundreds of possible plant combos and such and her being an absolutely horrible, bitchy person I was fed up and looked her in the face and said. I have the perfect remedy-go to this address and talk to cady(fake name) about her lovely silk flowers that looked almost real. Because the so called carefree plant she wanted was nonexistent and she was never going to find one. She choked and sputtered and yelled in my face that she loved live real plants and wanted nothing else! And she was going to talk to my boss. Well my boss was behind her and my other boss(her hubby) was standing next to me by this time and both were trying really hard not to laugh. Then they both told her not to come back if she was going to be abusive to their employees. I did get asked to not recommend silk flowers to others but that that old bitch had it coming. 😅

The employee that had to refuse the man trying to return the opened bottle - that's happened to me. I work in a clothing store, and naturally, we don't do returns on underpants. Once you've left the store with them, that's it, we can't do anything about it. We let people know this every time, we offer to let them see the pants out of the packaging; if they decline and end up with the wrong size, that's on them. But a lady tried to return some a few weeks back because they weren't the right style and, when I told her that I unfortunately could take them back and that we had informed her as such (it wasn't me who initially served her, but I was on the till next to them), she complained that she hadn't been home and tried them on, hadn't left the high street, etc. Ma'am, I'm sorry, but it has been over an hour since you left our store. I'm sure you hadn't left the high street and tried them on but I'm afraid we can't prove that. Ended up telling her "Sorry, we can't help you", and she just snarled back "No, it's that you WON'T help me." Yeah. I won't help you. Because I CAN'T, I will lose my job. I'll give you customer service's number if you want lol.

Yes, I somewhat disagree that the higher you go to the top the closer you're going to be to the person who made the rule themselves. I mean while that is somewhat true the reality is in a big corporation there are many steps to the top, and many times when you call corporate you're going to be talking with someone who is located in a call center. You're right in saying that a lot of times they'll just issue the refund. Unless it's a lot of money on the line, it's often just the easiest way to resolve the issue, and make the problem go away.

I personally LOVE Walmarts ID policy and think it should be like that everywhere. Bc when you work in a state where it's inconsistent from store to store versus states where everywhere is required to ask every single person for ID, it gets really messy and you can even get threats from people. Especially here in Florida, people get straight up insane bc they will show up like a group of ten and act so pressed when I tell them I need every person's ID bc if they are together and all drinking I need to be able to guarantee they are of legal age to do so. If the person buying shares with everyone else and the rest of the group is like 19 and end up getting arrested for public intoxication or being stupid enough to drive and harm someone in the process, I myself could get in trouble for selling to them and the company could face legal ramifications and lose their liquor license.

totally get you about the teenagers. i work at a library that has a middle school right next door and nearly every afternoon about 40 or so kids come over to wait for their parents to pick them up. and naturally, rowdy teens being rowdy teens, they are always a nightmare to deal with. i dread having to interact with them at all, but of course we have to tell them to behave about 20 times each. we even had to hire a security guard just for them because the issue was getting so bad and we got so many complaints from other patrons. unfortunately the security guards who come are hardly any help at all, so things havent improved much. we get called racist by these kids just for telling them to follow library rules and not cause a disturbance (and ofc its almost always a white kid saying it 😑). yesterday one came up to me and said another kid threw a lollipop at him so i went to get the security guard and had her confront them. apparently he didn't throw it at him but he did stuff it down his shirt and take a bunch of photos of him trying to get it out. as he was scrolling thru the pictures tho, he accidentally showed us that he also took photos of me too and the security guard didn't address it at all. she just laughed the whole time, even when he said he posted all of them online somewhere. so anyway, if i wasnt sure about having kids in the future im definitely sure now. none for me thnx

I remember when I was learning to ride a motorcycle, my husband insisted that I take a course, to learn safety - he's been riding since he was a teenager. He told me that it was the most important thing; a biker had to be vigilant because people in cars just don't care. Sometimes they don't see a biker, but more often they just don't look for one. Or they're simply unsafe. Not all drivers, but far too many!! I'll never understand why people have to bother people working in their neighborhood! It's one thing to approach a hydro or telephone worker and ask if they have any idea how long it will be before the service is back up - that's a pretty reasonable thing to want to know. Or maybe even to show interest in why your street is being surveyed, things like that. I live in a tiny community, so people get excited at the thought of construction, sidewalks or new services. When we got coaxial cable installed for wifi and cable tv, it was a HUGE deal!! I don't usually approach, but I've seen others do it, and I can understand it. But to question someone, who is clearly working, about their right to be there? It doesn't make any sense to me! Most companies send company vehicles. If you're concerned - and if it's a company vehicle, I'm not sure why you would be - call the company to verify that they have someone in the neighborhood. There's no reason to harass someone! Is their life really that boring?? Or are they really that paranoid??

3:26 I was a cashier at a grocery store in a little town in Texas when I was 16 (I'm 17 now). We had people like that come in damn near daily. We had this one guy who used to bitch at me and one of my coworkers when we were required to ask for his ID for cigarettes. So because of that, we he came in the naxt couple times, we asked him for his ID for damn near everything he had. He never bitched at as after that

@bonejuice225

My opinion on the video around 13:40 is that a lot of stores will have security cameras by or around the register. This could be to verify when someone arrived and left if there is an issue with the system where clock in times seem jumbled up or to protect employees in situations like this. It could be because they have a lot of people pulling the same stuff as the guy trying to get returns and being argumentative. It seems like a weird position for the camera, but they've probably got other ones around the store and around the register, this one seems to be there for audio purposes to protect employees. That's my take on it but I could be wrong since I don't know if the place where the guy works even does that. It could definitely be his personal phone camera

You know, though, when this was a brand new policy at Wal Mart, back in 1998, I had accidentally left my license at home and was trying to buy “A River Runs Through It” to take offshore to watch instead of having to watch Scarface one more time because that’s all the guys ever wanted to watch….anyway, that movie (VHS, btw) was rated R. I did not have my ID. The 17 year old would not take my word for it. I told her my birthday, not good enough. I asked her if I looked like I was 16 years old or younger (I was 28.) That did not work. So, I just left, without that movie, and to this day I have never seen it.😂

There should have been a sign that the elevator was out of order visible from the traffic in the garage. Also, the repair guy should know how to give directions for alternative entries. I am assuming the population in the building is older.

The repair guy doesn't have an obligation to do that. It is the responsibility of the building management.

The age of consent is different depending on where you live. Where we live, it's 18; but some places mark 16 as the age of consent. Not saying I agree with it, but it DOES depend on location in the eyes of the law.

yeah see im now in my 40s and I know i may or may not get carded because i do kinda look 40 which i think is the rule for carding although i swear i heard something about possibly looking up to 60 now which seems rediculous but generally its because they have to scan the id. I think the only thing that may make me look snobby now that i will refuse is DUI road tests i have to many medical and eye related issues to pass it sober not that i drink and drive in the first place.

wether it was auto parts or medication, tampering with the seal, automatically makes it unreturnable for other peoples life. If he did anything to the auto part, the piece could cause an accident with dead people, and medication is just another Tylenol situation..
